Oregon State Police on Thursday pulled out the approximately 100 troopers helping both federal officers and Portland police in responding to nightly protests in the city that have often ended in confrontations with demonstrators and arrests.
State police committed to two weeks and that two weeks ended today, said spokesman Capt. Timothy R. Fox.
Were in a county thats not going to prosecute this criminal behavior, Fox added.

Not sure who you are taking a shot at with that: City leadership? I concur. State Troopers for pulling out? I do not concur.

The rioters are democrat voters and the guv’s constituents. They don’t want to upset their voters.

Oregon no longer has any precinct voting anyway. It has been 100% mail in voting for 8 years or so,

How to destroy police morale in one easy step. Just never prosecute the people they arrest. At some point, they stop bothering to make arrests. This is exactly what is happening in Seattle. Arrested suspects are not prosecuted, or are booked and released, or given probation and never incarcerated. The futility of it makes police quit arresting people. Why do all the paper work for nothing? You can go hang out at Dunkin Donuts and the net effect is the same. You have the same pay and the same result without any of the hassle.

I am not taking a shot at anyone; merely posting a news article with a relevant comment. Makes no sense for the police to take them off the street if they are back the next night with no consequences.

Between the riots and the virus they are trying to make it impossible for in person voting. A restriction on live voting is whats going to kill us!Maybe the rioters will get tired of attacking the now-reduced police presence, in spite of the new Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt announcing that his office wont pursue many of the charges against demonstrators, including disorderly conduct, interfering with a police officer and even riot in some circumstances?????
They are probably sending in antifa reinforcements now. They would love to see the federal forces run away or be burned alive.

They worded it like this though:
"This decision was based on the fact that our two week commitment ended last night"
So, now that the Feds have left, and the State police have left, looks like the Alamo is about to get overrun again.
The way I read into their wording is that the city was lucky they even stayed that long. Obviously they could have extended their commitment, But if none of the charges are sticking, why bother? It's not their city..

Unfortunately true.
Criminals are sometimes arrested but not prosecuted in democrat run cities and states.
The majority of assaulters arsonists murderers cop attackers are not even arrested.
It seems the dem leadership’s attitude is “BURN BABY BURN” -—a mantra from the 1960’s.

A related fact is that a federal jury was about to railroad Flynn when the DOJ dropped the bogus case.

So, who, if anyone, is now guarding the Fed. facilities?
Are they abandoned to be burned?

You can rest assured that if the building is standing today, someone was protecting it last night. The miscreants would certainly have burned it down. That court house is a powerful symbol of the US government.

let my dtr sell her home and then, I don’t care what they do in Portland....the COUNTY and STATE will end up paying for it, so those Oregone voters feeling so smug outside the Portland city limits better be prepared to open up their wallets.
