He said pandemics come along every X years or so with regularity (I think X was 8). He did not predict this one; he was just observing that we have not stamped out pandemics and another one will occur.

The kookism on this remark by Fauci is strong and should be tamped down. I'm no fan of the man, but these silly conspiracy theories do not make conservatives look good.
