Is Kamala Harris a natural born citizen?
It is no secret that Harris wants to be Joe Biden's vice president. The junior senator from California clearly sees an opening to her real objective: the presidency of the United States. With Biden surprisingly outlasting the other anti-American socialist candidates, Harris recognizes that Biden's age and declining cognitive abilities pose a glorious opportunity to resurrect her presidential ambitions. After all, there is an good chance that the bumbling, incoherent Biden might have to resign or be removed in his first term and his V.P. would succeed him. Even if Biden managed to miraculously finish his first term, it is unlikely that he would or could run for a second.
Harris would love to "back door" her way into the presidency, especially given the fact that her vacuous campaign was an unmitigated disaster, and any future presidential ambitions looked to be a virtual impossibility only a few months ago.
But not so fast. Harris is constitutionally ineligible to be VPOTUS (12th Amendment) or POTUS (Article 2). She is not nor can she ever be a natural born citizen, the highest standard of citizenship mandated by the Constitution for the president and commander-in-chief. The Founding Fathers wanted a higher standard of citizenship for the POTUS because they did not want any competing allegiances with foreign governments.
Harris was born in Oakland, California on October 20, 1964, to an Indian citizen mother and a Jamaican citizen father. Thus, Harris is a native-born American citizen, or a citizen pursuant to what I refer to as the anchor baby provision of the 14th Amendment.

Using all caps does not prove your assertions. The founders were worried about the subjects of the King of Great Britain. But, what they inserted into the language of the Constitution has not aged very well. You continue to ignore the Elephant in the Room. You make assertions without any support in law and in the Constitution that proves your assertions. There aren’t any, so don’t bother trying to find them.
I think she is natural-born per 1898 Supreme Court Case.
Except Stacey Abrams, who would love the chance to call herself the real Vice President regardless of the result, :)
Wong Kim Ark addressed citizenship, not natural born citizen.

The problem for you is that the law, including the Constitution, does not distinguish in its text between "natural born citizen" and "citizen by reason of birth". You can posit that such a distinction existed in the minds of the Framers, but that's all it is until it's established in law.
The law only knows "natural born citizens" and "naturalized citizens". Harris is certainly not a naturalized citizen, so she is a natural born citizen, according to the law as it exists now.
But she should renounce her Jamaican dual citizenship if, God forbid, she is elected.
Bellei had his citizenship stripped for failure to complete the citizenship requirements then in the statute. This statutory stripping mechanism could not work but for the fact that Bellei was a naturalized citizen.
The anchor baby situation lacks this sort of judicial clarity, not that judicial clarity means anything.
All children of foreigners are themselves foreigners when born, even if they are awarded US citizenship, they are still citizens of their parent(s) country(ies).
The entire purpose of the natural born citizen clause as evidenced by John Jay’s letter to George Washington was to preclude any foreign influence on the office of President.
The only way one is naturally a citizen is when one cannot be anything else.
native born. Wong Kim Ark
Anchor baby citizenship is a new thing. Plyler v. Doe footnote.
But taking your point as if true, plenty of Chinese nationals raised in China, likely members of CCP, are natural born US citizens because they were born here then taken back home to China.
Nobody disputes that someone born on US Soil to US Citizen parents is a natural born citizen.
Notice that the word "only" does not appear in the above sentence.
People cite, e.g., Minor vs Happersett as though it proved something. It doesn't. Virginia Minor's parents were both American citizens. The Supreme Court admitted that she was certainly a US citizen, and "natural born" at that, and then proceeded to deny her the right to vote because she was a woman. You can't get from there to any claim someone born of non-citizen parents is, or is not, a citizen, or a natural born citizen, or anything else. It was not at issue in the case, and the decision doesn't, and can't, address it.
I'm not even a lawyer and I understand this.
“The entire purpose of the natural born citizen clause as evidenced by John Jays letter to George Washington was to preclude any foreign influence on the officna e of President. The only way one is naturally a citizen is when one cannot be anything else.”
_______
Fixed that fer ya, JJ (John Jay)!:
“Permit me to hint, whether it would not be wise & seasonable to provide a strong check to the admission of Foreigners into the administration of our national Government; and to declare expressly that we should all be totally copacetic with the Command in chief of the american army being given to, or devolving on, any Tom, Dick, Harry, John, Barack, Nikki, Bobby, Marco, Ted, or Kamala as long as they weren’t born overseas to two non-citizen parents.”
Nobody should promote original meaning jurisprudence. Because white privilege. Instead, we need A Livinanbreathin Constitution. See what I did there?
More than one nationality makes it impossible to be naturally an American.

“Anyone born with more than ONE nationality is not NATURALLY an American.”
So simple, yet so many fail to understand..... It is quite amazing what people consider to be a natural born citizen.
Divided loyalties at birth, this is what the founders were protecting future generations from.
Can you imagine King George knocking up an American woman, and that kid being president? Yea, that’s what the founders wanted....clearly (do I really need the sarc tag?)
They are not failing to understand.
It’s deliberate obtuseness.
I find the anti-Constitutionalists here on FR usually either have some personal reason (they are not natural born or their child is not) or they are fans of one of the ineligibles.
It’s incredible to me that so many people on the most conservative Constitution loving site on the web want to make those communist Chinese kids and Anwar al-Alaki’s kids eligible to be President. smh
Good website, I’ve been there several times. It proves nothing and does nothing to define the natural born citizen clause. The internet does not supplant the U.S. Constitution and the decisions of the Supreme Court interpreting said Constitution.
That’s the way it works.
Citizen of the world is what they were trying to exclude.
Solely an American is what they were requiring.
It’s so simple.
Even with the recent disaster of the Obama usurpation many want to do it again...
