Sen. Lindsey Graham, the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, said on Sunday that newly declassified FBI documents from 2018 show that the bureau lied to the Senate Intelligence Committee about Christopher Steele's anti-Trump dossier.

"This document clearly shows that the FBI was continuing to mislead regarding the reliability of the Steele dossier," Graham said during an interview on Fox News' "Sunday Morning Futures." "The FBI did to the Senate Intelligence Committee what the Department of Justice and FBI had previously done to the FISA court: mischaracterize, mislead, and lie."
"The characterizations regarding the dossier were completely out of touch with reality in terms of what the Russian subsource actually said to the FBI," Graham told Fox News host Maria Bartiromo. "What does this mean? That Congress, as well as the FISA court, was lied to about the reliability of the Russian subsource. I will be asking FBI Director Wray to provide me all the details possible about how the briefing was arranged and who provided it."

Mr. Graham said McCain handled things properly, taking the dossier to the FBI in late 2016. Mr. Graham said he encouraged his friend to do so.
But Mr. Graham says what happened after that was the problem.
“I know because John McCain showed me the dossier, and I told him the only thing I know to do with it — it could be a bunch of garbage, could be true, who knows — turn it over to somebody whose job it is to find these things out. And John McCain acted properly,” Mr. Graham said.

Here is how stupid the GOPe is....
Director Wray - you can either come clean on what your agency did immediately and stop stonewalling or we will take away 20% of your budget. Rinse and repeat. They should have ended the FISA court also until a full disclosure by the FBI.
While I realize the FISA court can be an important tool in the fight against terrorism many people warned it could be used for political purposes. We were assured it would not be and there were safeguards in place YET that is EXACTLY what happened. No repercussions other than a sternly worded letter. To date, they have not even admitted that those in charge on the 7th floor used it to violate the civil rights of US citizens for partisan purposes.
Are any of you convinced that the FISA process has been fixed and the FBI would never do something like this again?
I am not. Much of the blame for this in my opinion lies with Graham who was likely part and parcel of it and knew what was happening.

DC deep state agents _never_ go to jail. They run DC. Our elected constitutional government cannot even think about hanging the traitors who swarm throughout DC.

Yawn. Nothing is going to happen to anybody. But if a Republican turns right on a red light, then OFF WITH HIS OR HER HEAD!
Consideration should be given to a plan whereby every county or parish in the nation, by a majority of voters in each, each select a representative of the people who will travel to Washington to replace our current corrupt government officials in their entirety, unless otherwise reelected by the majority in their residing country or parish.
Such a plan, almost overnight would increase actual representatives of the people, not large special interests, by a factor of seven.
We the people would stand a much better chance of having legislation passed which was actually in our interest, rather than in the interest of big monied and powerful special interest groups or corporations. It would also flush many of the currently corrupted crop of legislators out of DC and greatly help to drain the swamp.
I think there is something to be gained by replacing the entire lot at one time. Such eliminates the problems seniority creates. I think, except on certain occasions, these new representatives of the people should conduct the majority of their duties from their home offices. I think there should be limits on the amount of time they're allowed to serve, FWIW.
