Director Wray - you can either come clean on what your agency did immediately and stop stonewalling or we will take away 20% of your budget. Rinse and repeat. They should have ended the FISA court also until a full disclosure by the FBI.
While I realize the FISA court can be an important tool in the fight against terrorism many people warned it could be used for political purposes. We were assured it would not be and there were safeguards in place YET that is EXACTLY what happened. No repercussions other than a sternly worded letter. To date, they have not even admitted that those in charge on the 7th floor used it to violate the civil rights of US citizens for partisan purposes.
Are any of you convinced that the FISA process has been fixed and the FBI would never do something like this again?
I am not. Much of the blame for this in my opinion lies with Graham who was likely part and parcel of it and knew what was happening.
