Hansen allegedly punched the victim several times, rendering him unconscious, before walking away down the hall. Police said the victim suffered a broken jaw in the attack, Q13 Fox reported. The victim told officers that he has made a remark to Hansens girlfriend, who was not wearing a mask or facial covering...

This whole lockdown thing has got everybody on edge. I just wear my mask to the store to attenuate MY virus, should I have it, and then go home. I can always make a wide berth around those people not wearing one.
Thanks for the reply. I agree with your comments about road tantrums, too. Pull off, and let them crash into one of their own kind later. It’s good to have car cameras, a phone and self-defense insurance, though.
...However breaking this guys jaw is overkill, and the 35 yo should go to jail. He should have just told the 72 yo to FO.
********************************************************
Maybe the 35 yo should have simply ignored the remark and gone about his business? Theres ENTIRELY too much ridiculous you dissing me, you DISSIN me? touchiness going on in this country.
>>We need a name for a male Karen.>>
“It’s Ken. Perfect mate for a “Karen”. Heh heh, Ken dolls — the ultimate in masculinity. (no sarcasm tag needed)”

AHEM!
‘Anybody with that short of a fuse, that sets off that sort of violence, needs a little cooler time.’
yes; and a 35 year old punching an elderly physically disabled man should do some serious time...on the other hand, had the old man kept his mouth shut, he wouldn’t have had it broken...
this is the legacy of these damnable masks; we now have spats with each other with vigor, and the longer this goes on, the worse our civil discourse...I now have numerous ex-associates, with whom I shall never establish contact again...
Good for you!
I think the victim went about it all wrong, he should have said “As beautiful as you are, I don’t blame you for not wearing a mask”. Probably would not have enraged the boyfriend.
LOL, sorry about that! Definitely not personally meant. :-)
The Mayor (or perhaps the east end of a MARE walking west, better describes ‘hizzonor’) Calgary Council have passed a bylaw that masks are required indoors in most buildings. Some of the local ‘Karens’ (and ‘Justins’) have even called ‘911’ to report on ‘scofflaws’ who don’t wear masks. The police tell then that they need to call ‘311’ and report it to the City, if they must. They tell these types that ‘911’ is for REAL emergencies.
Yes, there are plenty of busibodies all over! Altogether too many Karens and Justins everywhere.
Thanks for your account of the masks & no masks.
They pose a serious barrier to communication for those who are hearing disabled, don’t know sign language, and must lip-read in order to understand what is being done to said.
(take out the “done to” in my post; dunno how it got there...)
You may be confused.
Man bites dog.
Partisan Media Shills update.
I don't like them because it has become a symbol of subservience. They are of limited value.
I work in a hospital and have to wear them all the time. I do so, and willingly for three reasons:
This last one is worth discussion: I feel this way because I am in the business of helping to heal people. I can take the luxury of feeling this way, because the only one inconvenienced is me. One life out of 10,000 patients is part of my calculus. The President and our government should operate under a different calculus.
They cannot shut everything down to save one life out of 10,000. But that is what the Left wants to do.
Heh...point taken...
Kyle. How about that one?
Exactly.
won’t be the first time. smile
First, thank you for your service the the USA. Second, I could not agree more with your post. The problem is this: conservatives wish to be left alone and liberals love to tell others what to do/how to live. The ideologies have become incompatible. I fear CWII may be the only resolution.
