Thursday on MSNBCs Andrea Mitchell Reports, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) weighed in on the possibility of President Donald Trump giving his speech accepting the Republican Party presidential nomination from the White House, despite some suggesting it could a violation of the Hatch Act.

I think its an outrage, Gillibrand lamented. President Trump continues to demean his office. He continues to break norms, and if anyone helps him do his speech, its in violation of the Hatch Act. So he may well be exempt, but again, to misuse federal resources for political gain is something that we do not tolerate and is illegal in many respects. So I hope he does not choose to again cross that line and continue to undermine the office of the presidency by doing things that are inappropriate and unethical.

She is sort of right.
What about those people that Joe Biden plagiarizes?
But BJ Bill was ok for her...
Arrest the White House cook!
He made dinner for Trump who then used the nourishment it provided to deliver his acceptance speech!
Also, what about all those Secret Service and guards used to protect the president before, during and after he gives his speech?
The ironmongers who made the fence? The slaves who laid the bricks? I mean, everyone in DC be violatin’ de Hatch Act!
I forgot all about her.
Ever hear of presidential speech writers? They’re on taxpayer payrolls, but they’ve written all kinds of speeches, including political ones, for everyone since FDR on. . .
Gillibrand: If Anyone Helps Trump with Nomination Speech Its in Violation of the Hatch Act

Trump should really piss off the Left and give his speech just outside of the MLK museum.
What about SlowJoe’s handlers helping, no, actually writing his speech FOR him? Trump is just playing these fools....My guess is after they have all pooped their pants over it, he will announce his speech will come from Mir-a-lago!
“She is sort of right.”
Hatch Act does not apply tp POTUS or his VP.
Sure, go away.
Perhaps, he can have the acceptance speech from the White House Living Quarters instead of the Oval Office.
Do you think the democrats would agree to that?
Since when did a liberal give a sh*t about the law?
Unlike Biden, Trump doesn’t need any help.
But the FBI we will stop Trump is a-ok!
jilly should shut her yap.
I wonder if Kirsten is still branding her slaves?
The president lives at the White House. If he wants to give a speech in the backyard, he should do it.
What about all the people writing the words for Dementiacrat Joe Biden to read these days?
the last president who did not give an acceptance speech for a campaign to be reelected was JFK. I guess staffers for every president for the past 50+ years have violated the Hatch Act.
