...We caught a glimpse of it last month when Chris Wallace of Fox News dismantled Trumps argument that Joe Biden wants to defund the police. But we saw the complete picture on Monday night when with the help of a few color-coordinated charts the president hopelessly stumbled and bumbled his way through a train wreck of an interview with Jonathan Swan of Axios, which aired on HBO. ... Because the president didnt have the luxury of calling on another reporter, he was forced to at least attempt to clarify his nonsensical arguments, like why the percentage of the American population that has died due to COVID-19 complications isnt really that important. He could not do this, of course, and the result was one of the most incoherent, depressing, and flat-out embarrassing interviews of Trumps presidency.
...jonathanvswan: Oh, youre doing death as a proportion of cases. Im talking about death as a proportion of population. Thats where the U.S. is really bad. Much worse than South Korea, Germany, etc.
realdonaldtrump: You cant do that. ... When Swan points out that only 300 people in South Korea have died, out of a population of over 50 million, Trump says, You dont know that, implying the nation is lying about its death rate.

I think Trump should let Byedone talk all he wants and then when it’s obvious that Joek has lost it, just drop the mike and walk off stage.

Exactly. And he is sticking in his basement
If there are any debates, you can bet this will be the main focus of questioning. The moderators will get Trump talking about cases and deaths and trip him up, get their soundbites, and then anything else in the debate will be ignored on the news.
who knows what the real numbers are anywhere?
England wipes 4,000-plus. now they will only count those where covid is on death certificate! how accurate will that be?
7 Aug: Metro UK: Nearly 4,200 deaths could be wiped from official statistics due to counting error
by Edna Mohamed
Around 10% of coronavirus deaths recorded in England almost 4,200 could be wiped from official records due to an error in counting, a review has found.
Last month, Health Secretary Matt Hancock ordered a review into the way the daily death count was calculated in England citing a possible statistical flaw.
Academics found that Public Health Englands statistics included everyone who had died after testing positive even if the death occurred naturally or in a freak accident, and after the person had recovered from the virus...
Numbers will now be reconfigured, counting deaths if a person died within 28 days of testing positive much like Scotland and Northern Ireland...
Professor Heneghan, director of the Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine at Oxford University, who first noticed the error, told the Sun: It is a sensible decision. There is no point attributing deaths to Covid-19 28 days after infection...

25 Jun: NY Post: NY Republicans call on Letitia James to probe Cuomos nursing home order
By Bernadette Hogan
ALBANY House Republicans are turning up the heat on Gov. Andrew Cuomos controversial coronavirus nursing home policy, calling on Democratic state Attorney General Letitia James to back an independent investigation of the matter, The Post has learned.
The five Republicans on the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis signed and sent a letter to James along with separate, similar letters to the state attorneys general of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan and California demanding investigations into their respective governors handling of the deadly virus in nursing homes...
The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has disproportionately affected the elderly, especially those living in nursing homes and other long-term care facilities. On April 23, 2020, in coordination with New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Department of Health, you announced a statewide investigation of nursing homes during the ongoing Pandemic, wrote ranking subcommittee member Rep. Steve Scalise of Louisiana.
The signers also included New Yorks GOP delegation, the Empire States own Reps. Elise Stefanik, Tom Reed, Peter King, John Katko and Lee Zelden in a joint letter to James Thursday...
We understand that your investigation will not cover the Governors March 25, 2020 directive on Hospital Discharges and Admissions to Nursing Homes, which recklessly reintroduced the disease into the most vulnerable population. Therefore, we write requesting that you formally review the impact of this deadly policy and make your findings available to the citizens of New York and families of those who lost loved ones as a result of this deadly policy, they added.
They also want copies of all communications between Cuomo and James office dating back to Jan. 1, 2020 about nursing homes, setting a formal response deadline of next Thursday, July 2.
The letters follow last weeks request by the Republican committee members for state-specific nursing home data and briefings from the five Democratic governors.
New York was the only state that refused to respond...

So true. So did my Dad.
It comes down now to the international funding of US TV IMO.

He seems to be posting a bit less. Which is good. We don’t know if they’re actually him or a handler. A weekly tweet is probably great, a daily or more is not.

After Settlement With Fraternity, The Rolling Stone Rape Hoax Saga Is Officially Over
Rolling Stone is only now able to put this travesty behind them, at least legally.
By Ashe Schow
More than three years after Rolling Stone published the most significant false accusation of rape since the Duke Lacrosse hoax, the saga is officially over for the magazine.
Thats right, Rolling Stone is only now able to put this travesty behind them at least legally. The magazine reached a final settlement in late December with the members of the fraternity that were falsely maligned in the story.

IFR shows those who recovered from it, it could be they recovered on their own. There’s also no way to clearly measure this. deaths/million are the best way
