Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk stated in a recent interview that people in the United States are entitled and complacent while Chinese citizens are smart and hard-working people.
CNBC reports that in a recent interview with Automotive News Daily Drive podcast, Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk complained of the entitled and complacent character of U.S. citizens while praising the smart and hard-working people of China. This is far from the first time that Musk has cozied up to communist China.
Musk criticized New York and California, states that have both gone to extreme lengths to support Musks businesses with tax breaks, regulatory credits, and regular government help. Breitbart News has reported extensively on the government subsidies that Musk and his companies have taken advantage of.
Jason Stein, the publisher of Automotive News who conducted the interview with Musk, asked him How about China as an EV strategy leader in the world? to which Musk replied: China rocks in my opinion. The energy in China is great. People there theres like a lot of smart, hard-working people. And theyre really theyre not entitled, theyre not complacent, whereas I see in the United States increasingly much more complacency and entitlement especially in places like the Bay Area, and L.A. and New York.

Genius, yes.
Stable genius, no.
Most brilliant people are just one or two steps away from being crazy.
This is a clickbait article using out of context quotes. Recently, Musk has openly criticized Marx on Twitter and done battle with local liberal government in California.
Let’s give him more tax money to pilfer.
Tesla Headquarters: Palo Alto, CA
SpaceX Headquarters: Hawthorne, CA
Hyperloop Headquarters: Los Angeles, CA
Why?

That’s where the talent is, and his strategy has worked.
Indeed, he’s a brilliant self-made liberal-hating billionaire but that’s to be bashed by many on FR today.
China needs more marijuana...
He said, "I see in the United States increasingly much more complacency and entitlement especially in places like the Bay Area, and L.A. and New York.
He painted with a broad brush. He didn't specify an age group. I live in California and work hard for my paycheck, as I have done my entire life. I don't appreciate this little pr***ks comments one bit, especially as he's getting government handouts paid for by people like me. Drop dead, Elon.

Well for the most part he’s not wrong.
Well, the cities he sited as examples are liberal 'elite' and run by democrats.
Cocaine is a hell of a drug.
I don’t think his opinion is reason to cancel him.
I was thinking of the cybertruck, now I’m leaning towards Buick Skylark.
“He said, “I see in the United States increasingly much more complacency and entitlement especially in places like the Bay Area, and L.A. and New York.
How can you possibly disagree with this given everything this country is currently going through in those cities? You have to be willfully blind and totally self-absorbed not to understand these truths.
The fact is, too many Americans are self-absorbed, it’s all about me and my personal issues, and, if you’re not “sensitive” to my issues you are a monster and I hate you!!!
Musk needs to close down every single operation he has on the left coast and in the North Central and NE Corridor and simply relocate to the American South ALL operations.
Problem Solved.
People only read the headlines. And Tesla is growing at fantastic rates. As above has said, it’s getting a bit bubblish (made up word), but you’re also getting in at the ground floor still. I don’t have any TSLA stock and can’t afford any.
You know nothing about me, so stop assuming.
