Nothing for us who’ve been working for all of this time?

ONLY if they have to PROVE they are looking for a job.
Apparently the ones hurt most are the ‘underemployed’ and I do see a LOT of HELP WANTED signs at construction sites, landscapers etc
Just because you are a career ‘do you want fries with that’ doesn’t mean you can’t work in some sort of laborer job.
DEFINITELY drop those whose companies have ‘went back’ and they refuse to do so.
Of course it wouldn’t hurt if the companies supplied whoever with those that refuse to come back to work.
‘They’ are willing to turn one in for not wearing a mask etc, if you are going to be a ‘snitch’ make it so it save us from the frauds.

I have to say Im for the extra $600 to be extended, I know a lot of people who cannot return to work who made a lot more than this and wont survive without it.

Hey idiots! What about an extra 600 a week for those of us who have kept working?
What extra expenses are the unemployed getting that we don’t?

Why would these people ever consider going back to work? Trump is morphing into a politician. This spectacle is sad to watch.

Good decision. Now get it passed and signed, and retroactive to this week, and move on. After the election is another matter, but if the GOP continue to screw this very popular item up, it will cost them seats, perhaps the Senate.
And don't whine to me about the debt. We don't need tens of thousands of troops around the globe, or the A-10 Warthog, or any number of other countless billions for a long-ended Cold War.

Have not heard him say for how long, and he doesn’t here.
I heard him say he wants to extend it one week, and has R Senate support for that.
It6’s got to be reduced.
I’d like to see it cut to 500/wk now, and quickly to much less as the outbreak falls in August.
May be a good idea to balance it with a back-to-work bonus.

Due to the morals and financial practices of a large part of the electorate that is perpetually short on savings due to the "good life", as well as a permanent class of entitlement leeches and a government run by control freaks that vacuums cash for taxes on everything except air while stepping all over business; there is no room for Trump or any fiscally conservative candidate for president to maneuver. When it comes to the current predicament it's Hobson's choice as to massive coronavirus relief payments.
American financial culture has broken down, again; and it seems we have no choice other than to wait until we hit the skids, à la 1929. Then we will either get serious about fixing things or go into the totalitarian abyss.
