The office of the attorney general is one of the oldest in our constitutional system, and the department is pledged “to ensure fair and impartial administration of justice for all Americans.” But Barr, instead, displays a tendency to use all the department’s levers—and with a $32 billion budget there are a lot of them—not to protect “all Americans” but to protect the president, personally and politically.

Remember that any jury will consist almost entirely if not wholly of Democrats. Hillary won 96% of the vote in the District of Columbia, the only jurisdiction where most political trials can occur. This extreme political bias applies not only to the jury pool but also to the bureaucrats and lawyers, who staff the investigating agencies and prepare the cases. It works invariably in favor of Democrats and with indiscriminate vindictiveness against Republicans.
The office of the attorney general is one of the oldest in our constitutional system …Actually, the office of Attorney General is not in the Constitution any more than the DOJ is. The position of AG was created by the 1789 Judiciary Act, and the DOJ by the Act to Establish the Department of Justice in 1870.
Since WWII, the rise of the centralized nanny-state, but especially after Watergate - the Attorney General is the most important office in Federal Government. The DOJ is the brain and political nerve center of Fed.gov. On a lower level, why has George Soros so aggressively targetted putting progressives/leftists in DA and AG positions? Because they control the law, police, who gets investigated and charged by the State, at all levels.
Every President had to have a completely loyal AG, or they were done. Joe Sr. made sure JFK appointed his own brother. Reagan had long-term pal Ed Meese. Obama had two fellow travelers as AG to push his social-engineering agenda. He even made sure both were black.
Trump’s first AG pick nearly destroyed his Presidency from the start.

The facts are that Janet Reno, Loretta Lynch and Eric Holder were three of the most partisan hack Attorney Generals who ever held that position; and, that the amount of corruption and lack of ethics among leftist politicians, Democrats in general, and the liberal media eclipses anything the Republicans have ever done.
