UAE official tells Turkey to stop meddling in Arab affairs over Libya

DUBAI: The United Arab Emirates minister of state for foreign affairs said on Saturday that Turkey should stop interfering in Arab affairs, criticizing comments on Libya made by Turkey’s defense minister. Turkish media had reported the Turkish minister making remarks critical of the UAE’s actions over Libya. The UAE, alongside Egypt and Russia, backs eastern Libya commander Khalifa Haftar, whose fighters have been battling the forces of the internationally recognized government in Tripoli. Turkey has stepped up support for the Tripoli government. “Relations are not managed by threats and there is no place for colonialist delusions in this day and age,” Anwar Gargash wrote on Twitter.

Interesting choice of wording - to fundamentalist Sunni Muslims the Turks are still interlopers after just short of a thousand years, the Arabs understandably feeling that they have first claim on orthodoxy. That’s carrying a grudge a long time.

Get the US out of the Middle East and let the Muslims engage in their unholy wars. No American should die in the service of any Islamic country.

Russia's interventions and entanglements have no end in sight, and now they're getting stretched thin in a worldwide economic downturn which has made the massive increase in oil supply worse by the decline in demand.
Regarding Libya, meh. The best way to handle the Libyan muzzie civil war, from the US standpoint, is to ignore it.
In the event of US involvement, the only way to fly would be to use drones and hunt down every moving thing without mercy, telling the rest of the world to go be fruitful and multiply, just not in those words. We should first test the method by annihilating the muzzie terrorists operating in Nigeria.
