He replies, "I think under this President you've seen an agenda that's about advancing the opportunity for every American regardless or race or creed or color," after which he gracefully shifts the subject to unemployment, education, trade, school choice...
She then says, "I'm gonna take that as a no, that you're not in favor of the allocation of land based on the skin color, you didn't directly answer the question, but is that accurate? That you're not in favor of any program like that?"
"Well honestly I didn't hear what Joe Biden said today and I don't even understand the concept, what we do in this country is we create opportunities for everyone..." and then he transitioned again to school choice.
Indeed he did not directly answer the question, which seems like a no-brainer.
Did Biden not say what MacCallum claims he said? Or is there some disagreement among conservatives on this issue?
He was just being careful and avoiding the media’s penchant for twisting words. He said all the right things and gave the Dems nothing to scream about.
If a Democrat says that, it can be reported as "giving more free stuff to people who have been oppressed".
If a Republican (Pence) moved in that direction, it would be reported as "putting black people back on the plantation to pick cotton".
Sort of like "Have you stopped beating your wife?"
Exactly. To have made the honest answer would have resulted in headlines like "Pence wants to keep minoprities frim becoming farmers!".
You think some of these yoots stirring up trouble are going to work as farmers?
A whisper in a hurricane. The Demonrats control the media. Barr’s hearing was NOWHERE on Twitter; therefore, the Demonrats wanted it buried in the news, and so it was. Pence can talk about it all day, and the media will ignore it. THEY ALONE have the power these days.
I don’t do twitter, so I wouldn’t know. But I would think President Trump might have said something about it on his twitter account.
