My enduring memories of the pandemic in 2020 will be centered around one thing: masks. They have been central to my work over the past five months - but I never expected that I would become a target for internet trolls after proving how safe it is to wear a mask.
I am a doctor working in the intensive care at Bradford Royal Infirmary, England so in the early stages of the COVID-19 outbreak...

Why the need to wear a mask unless you are close to others?
Masks are idiotic since you can catch the disease in the eyes and through the ears as well. We need to move on with our lives instead of living in fear.
Yeah, but it’s scary, some self-appointed mask enforcer in my area just went and attacked a couple eating out in the open grass with mace. It’s getting rediculous, and I just have never felt more resentment and distrust toward other people in my neighborhood than I do now.
Give it another month and even they will be sick of the masks.

I use a cheesecloth mask when I have to wear one. No problem breathing through it.

I saw a photo of a guy who made one out of window screen. Did a good job on it too. And I saw, in person, some guy who took one of his wife’s? nylon stocking or panty hose leg, cut the calf and foot portion off and wore the thigh section of it for a mask.
Never did the group thing..although, would probably be fun.
I don’t ride like i use to...use to do 20-30 mile trips...
Use to enjoy taking a weekend bike trip and going camping.

That and with only eyes showing hard to facial ‘body’ language, tired doesn’t show as much, rolled eyes without the ‘snarling’ mouth not as effective.
AND IT MAY BE A ‘BODY DOUBLE’ if you aren’t feeling or looking all that good.
The biggest ‘scare’ of oneself is when you realize that the picture your mirror shows of you is not the same impression that a camera or body cam ‘captures’.
Nothing ‘scarier’ than adjusting your ‘dash cam or body cam’ and have your OWN mug be staring you in the face.
Kind of like the picture at the ballpark or outing and you recognize most all except that ‘old fat guy sitting on the end’ HEY WAIT ... he has a hat just like mine....
The DOJ and the ADA website both state that that information is false. The government doesn’t care if you have an underlying condition.
