Biden calls for violent protesters to be ‘found, arrested and tried’

Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden on Tuesday called for the arrest of violent protesters while taking questions for the first time in 28 days.

The former vice president struck a discordant tone with fellow liberals who insist protests against the May killing of George Floyd by Minnesota police are peaceful, and that authorities are to blame for any violence in Portland and other cities.

“I think we do need to hold those who violate the law accountable,” Biden said. “We should never let what’s done in a march for equal rights overcome what the reason for the march is. And that’s what these folks are doing. And they should be arrested — found, arrested and tried.”

Biden’s call for the prosecution of violent protesters may further alienate leftist politicians uneasy with Biden’s decades of centrist policies.

This week, Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) said she would not endorse Biden and a co-chair of Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign, former Ohio state Sen. Nina Turner, likened voting for Biden to eating a “bowl of ---t.”

The event was the first time Biden took questions since a June 30 briefing.

Joe Biden is only about 4 months late.

Must be kinda like, he’s in a bubble, hidden in that basement all the time.

Detroit’s police chief seems to be adamant about getting tough with any potential rioters and shutting them down before they get started. I’m absolutely amazed that they haven’t had any serious riots there.

I went to Detroit for the first and only time, to attend a conference, about three years ago. I wasn’t sure what to expect, and I certainly did see areas that were just ghost towns, but I was struck by how every person I met, from the hotel desk clerks, to the cab drivers, to even airport ticket agents was eager to know how if I was enjoying my stay and what I thought of the city. I could tell they were really trying to turn the city around and wanted to do everything they could to make sure visitors had a positive experience.

Detroit still has a long way to go. There are still lots of deserted neighborhoods, downtown feels like a patchwork of some areas (like Greektown and the area around the Tiger’s ballpark) that are somewhat thriving, mixed with more areas that seem deserted, and crime is still a big issue. But it has great potential if they can stay on the right track. I was amazed at the potential for development that the riverfront has around the area of GM’s headquarters. I also attended a Tigers game, and the ballpark was nice, clean, and the area around it, while feeling a little bit like a disconnected island of development, did have a number of new bars and restaurants around it. There’s still a long way to go, but they have the pieces there to get off to a good start.

The one hidden gem I discovered, though, was the Henry Ford museum and Greenfield Village in Dearborn. I know this will sound crazy to anyone who hasn’t been there, but that museum is actually worth a trip to Detroit all by itself. It is absolutely on par with any of the Smithsonian museums, and actually better than many of them, and Greenfield Village is just flat amazing, a 300 acre outdoor historic park that is immaculately kept, and truly gives the feeling of going back in time, including Model T’s and other vintage vehicles driving its streets. I highly recommend it. (I even found an exact duplicate of my first car (a 1973 green Chrysler Newport with white vinyl roof) in the museum. They have far, far more than just cars in the museum, but one of the highlights is a display of actual presidential vehicles, from Teddy Roosevelt’s horse-drawn carriage through George H.W. Bush’s limo. Two of the most prominent vehicles are the limo that JFK was riding in when he was assassinated (I had no idea this car was on display anywhere), and Ronald Reagan’s limo he was using on the day of his assassination attempt.

His handlers call for it. Biden doesn’t know who is protesting and what they are protesting.

At this point does anyone know anymore? We know what it is not about but these violent rioters should all be rounded up and put into jail but there isn’t enough jail space to hold them. I don’t even think the rioters know what and why they are there except to get paid. The rioters think they are doing this for because they are anarchists but the people paying them have a different agenda all together entirely different. So in the end all the rioters and protestors are all deceiving each other in the end. THus no one knows what is truly the reason. They might tell you but that’s a fools errand.

Biden in search of his Sister Soulljah Moment.

Too late, she’s done burned down the building.

Slow Joe the Pedo.

Clueless Joe.

American in name only.

Gonna be something, watching Slow Joe and Kamala the Hoe talking smack to the insurrectionists Nancy and Nadler, who deny the presence of violence.

Corn Pop, meet Popcorn, tubs of it.

Not so much Detroit. They’ve actually done a pretty good job keeping a lid on the insurrection there.

Glad too-late-Biden (finally) got right up and out in front of this issue after nearly a month. A great example of his leadership, plus taking away the political advantage Trump has had on the issue. /s

Also, by the picture, surely it cannot mean the demonkraps and their propagandists don’t know about the harm their riots have caused to the environment? and the short and long term negative health effects from breathing in the air pollutants? Perhaps some billion dollars need to go to their universities to study “methods in environmentally sustainable riots against the supremecists”

The socialists are already running the party. They thought the 60 plus days of rioting would be blamed on Trump ... except it isn’t.

How appropriate that the Newark Delaware rest area on I-95 is named after Sleepy Joe Biden.

“The Biden Travel Plaza along busy I-95, in 2010 an “environmentally sensitive and sustainable design” with waterless urinals. Named after VP Joe Biden in 2018.”

Obviously their internal polling shows they are losing the issue big-time. And equally obvious, Portland didn’t get the memo.

It made sense. He was saying the cause was more important than the actions of those fighting for the cause.

That doesn't mean I agree with him. If their cause was saving black lives then we would be hearing about the murdered children non stop. And their actions speak for themselves.
