It's not just that Blacks are laughing at the lefty white sheet show shambles going on in dumpster-fire Portland. Now they're getting disgusted.
PORTLAND, Ore. — Black community leaders are urging local protesters to shift the focus of demonstrations back to the Black Lives Matter movement and away from what has become a largely “white spectacle.”
Standing in front of a large banner bearing an image of Rep. John Lewis, the Black civil rights icon who died last week, the Rev. E.D. Mondainé, president of the Portland branch of the NAACP, told protesters, “The focus has been moved from where it is supposed to be and made to be a spectacle, a debacle.”
“This is no new thing we’re experiencing. We have seen this from the beginning of time,” Mondainé said. “Four hundred years we have struggled as Black people in this nation. … We have been made to be the last that were informed but the first that were affected.”
His remarks echo those of Robert Johnson, the Trump-supporting billionaire founder of the BET network, who last month said that all the white dominance at protests, supposedly for Blacks, was loaded with absurd symbolism and little of practical use, and frankly was laughable:
"You know black people, in my opinion, black people laugh at white people who do this, the same way we laugh at white people who say we got to take off the TV shows," he said mentioning the "Dukes of Hazard," a decades-old television program that has come under fire for featuring a car emblazoned with a Confederate flag graphic.

Does it really matter if whites back and participate in the violence or get back to the roots of bLM and leftist NAAcP and the ideas that Lewis espoused? They are the enemy in either case. One is not better than the other. Let me correct that, the violent ones are better. People will only put up with their crap for so long. Peaceful leftists and progressives will are impossible to get rid of.
You are right. I watched for 2 1/2 hours last night I did not see one black person and there were commands going back-and-forth. I’m willing to bet that a lot of those white mothers that were there a few days ago are going to be putting on blackface to give the rioting more credibility. Watch to see George Soros bus in Black folk from around the country.

Sorry for Lewis’ passing, cause I don’t wish anyone to die, but the guy was a solid communist. He passed being a liberal decades ago. That part I will not miss.

White liberal 'elites' make big promises to the black community that are NEVER kept - then they throw up a new community center named after some local civil rights icon. And hand out a few awards...

If you were from Portland, it still seemed like the sticks and in some ways he never fit in.
I was a junior when Johnny Johnson retired as coach, and as I recall Mr. K not only applied he gave us the appearance of believing that he would be seriously considered.
Over my first Christmas Break from Cornell, ‘88, it was evident to me that given the economy there was virtually no chance of me ending up back on the South Coast. After University, the only stretch I’ve had back longer than a few weeks was the last chunk of 92 and the start of ‘93. I’ve only been back twice since I helped Mom and my sisters to pack up the house in ‘99 and then drive them back east, where Dad was already looking for work.
It was an awesome place in its day. Mr. Alvey, who, IIRC was a pretty exact contemporary of Mr. Johnson (both played on at least one of the state championship teams) had an absolutely fascinating and in some ways idyllic life in terms of his childhood experiences on.
What were the last vestiges of race in the Constitution?
I just googled and am fascinated. From what I had gathered from Mr. K (as well as the article that is cited above), these things had been removed in the 1930’s. I guess in the 30’s (or possibly 1926 if the article I link below is more accurate than my memory of Mr. K) they repealed a law without touching the constitutional content underlying the law.
Good to see from the article that they missed something—the Oregon Constitution still forbids Chinese from owning property. The founders were ahead of their time.
There are few, any legitimate black community leaders. The real leaders are gang leaders and drug lords.
For years I thought that John Lewis’s first name was, “Civil Rights Icon”. Silly me.

Many of the teachers of that era were “out of place.” One grew up in South Africa. H.L. was German. The Oregon coast was pretty free-wheeling, then. I loved all of the phases that the teaching clique went through. Mushroom picking, wine-making,, clamming, fishing. hunting, art. A very neat bunch of people, and a welcome escape from the default populace, bless their hearts.
It was a great place, though I barely remember the time before the mills started to go down. I still don’t think that it was Mr. K’s cup of tea and I have kn own enough Portlanders and City Folks to know that most people don’t know a good thing when they see it.

In many ways I am very grateful for Greenacres of the mid 70’s and 80’s, but most of what was good of that culture is gone.

Tell me about it. Fishing at Empire Lakes is eye-opening I’ve been doing it off and on for 45 years. Last week I went in there and the parking lot was blocked off while an industrial mower on a tracked vehicle shredded vegetation to the ground. I heard that there are plans for another 35 days of that. All this in an effort to, if not eliminate homeless camping, at least keep them from lurking near the trails. There was one shooting, unjustified, to my way of thinking, and two incidents, that I know of, in which “assault rifles” were brought in to resolve disputes.
Portland ferals have taken to flying the American flag during their ‘battles’. When the cameras are rolling, anyway. When the cameras go away, they burn the flags:
