Three out of four Americans, including a majority of Republicans, favor requiring people to wear face coverings while outside their homes, a new poll finds, reflecting fresh alarm over spiking coronavirus cases and a growing embrace of government advice intended to safeguard public health.
The survey from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research also finds that about two-thirds of Americans disapprove of how President Donald Trump is handling the outbreak, an unwelcome sign for the White House in an election year shaped by the nation’s battle with the pandemic.
More than four months after government stay-at-home orders first swept across the U.S., the poll spotlights an America increasingly on edge about the virus.
The federal government's response is seen as falling short, and most Americans favor continued restrictions to stop the virus from spreading even if they might hamstring the economy.
Support for requiring masks is overwhelming among Democrats, at 89%, but 58% of Republicans are in favor as well.

Actually, I believe the poll (and I rarely do, having been in the business and know how it works.)
Look at it this way: Half of them are brain-dead Democrats who love being told what to do. And if FR is any indicator of those on ‘the right’... Then half of them are full of fear or at least want the social approbation of the crowd and want everyone masked too.
I believe these numbers. I knew this country was doomed back in the spring when I saw how many so-called “conservatives” right here on this website we’re buying into the bullsh!t that’s being peddled by our government and media.
If 2/3 to 3/4 of this country really is all-in on masks, no wonder Trump caved.

The Pritzker family is the financial arm behind LBP Industries, one of the largest suppliers of PPE. The Prtizker masks from China are junk.
But the people of Illinois were forced to order PPE from LBP and at the same time put $$Millions into Pritzker’s pocket.
If that many support wearing masks there is no need for a mandate even if you support it.
Are there people actually wanting to wear masks but aren’t because the government hasn’t issued a mandate? How ridiculous is this.
There is no way in hell that 75% of Americans want everyone to wear a mask. 75% want to live a normal life again, none of this six foot crap, it’s ok for rioters, it’s more than ok for me.
If true, then 75% of Americans are not very smart. Maybe a but brain dead.
Because there was a vaccine and I got vaccinated.
That’s the huge difference between Covid-19 and the regular seasonal flu that kills people.
People with treatable and livable medical conditions and the older population get vaccinated. Every year.
There is no vaccine right now for Covid-19, as I’m sure you know.
I love differences of opinion. It’s a great education.

Only about 40-50% of the population get a yearly flu vaccine.
The people most likely to want or get the vaccination are older and/or have underline medical issues. So if they contract Covid-19 which there is no vaccine for, they are at higher risk for serious issues.
I never got a flu vaccine when I was younger.
I’m older, with some issues, so now I do.
If you’re saying people who get the flu vaccine die from the flu which they were vaccinated for, that’s just bull$hit.
Prove it if that’s where you’re going.
Wearing a mask cuts down on your breathing mist and if you cough or sneeze it reduces partials from being launched. Period.
You can become infected and not show any signs or symptoms for days, meanwhile passing it to whom ever contacts your breathing vapors.
I don’t know how many times this has to be said.......I might be on my 9,000th time by now.
Don’t worry. I expect you to forget what I just said and continue with your anti-mask behavior. Probably within 2 hours............
There are honorable people that would give their life for others. There are honorable people who put their life in harms way for others. Not to save thousands, perhaps one or two.
And all you have to do is help others and wear a mask. But you won’t.

Daily we are fed that those are what we need by the media (except anti-police BLM/Antifa protests/riots which are exempt), then they poll their viewers and guess what results?
Their viewers repeat it to the media pollsters and the same media report it to us daily , and eventually we agree too.
If everyone believes it then it must be we that are wrong
