When these people kneel, I think of the Normandy landing. Of Pacific island landings where the kill rate for the first wave was 40%. I think of our WWI troops who were gassed in the trenches. I think of tunnel rats who entered Viet Cong tunnels to clean them out along the Ho Chi Minh trail. I think of first responders running IN to the twin towers before it fell.
This is an absolutely disgraceful and wrong way to go about this. They are spitting into the faces of those who died to make their misguided, ignorant, self-centered so-called “protest” possible. You spit in the face of Ted Williams and others like him who put their baseball careers on hold to fight for our country.
Our history of sacrifice for freedom is vastly wider and deeper than their pitiful understanding of it. Major League Baseball, participate in this travesty, you will immediately extricate yourselves from being considered part of Americana. How shallow and shameful can you people be?

I liked him better when he was teaching The Sweathogs.
They used to be the NY Giants. They moved to SF a long time ago. And now, with this display, they are definitely a San Francisco team.

We’re witnessing very desperate acts of a multi-billion dollar industry that’s had declining revenues for years now. This latest virtue skidding is just an attempt to stem the decline.

Baseball had already gone full on PC before this. Every week the teams seem to be promoting various causes and engaging in virtue signalling. It even extends down into the minor leagues which will also suffer from the parent teams’ insults to fans.
many causes but let’s face it the minority players are deeply racist and push the whites are racist hate speech, which is what this is. The whites cave and half of them believe it, but at its core this is racism. Anti police, anti American racism. They don’t even want anything except a bizarre left wing agenda of less police and tear down history.

The country has been sending the same message to us for a long time, and the antipathy is not just directed toward us older guys. The country that we served and helped to build has tuned its back on us (much like the fans of baseball).
Baseball is just a microcosm of a larger problem. The anti-white sentiment is growing.

With an inexorable exodus of people leaving CA on the horizon you would think they would be bowing down to fans instead of kneeling for the anthem.
I have wondered if these virtue-signaling teams are charging their season ticket holders for those worthless tickets now. If we held season tickets to ANY sport that engaged in this, we would cancel immediately.

The Left has a long history of taking an isolated instance and characterizing it as a national epidemic. They know how to exploit things for political advantage. And they can always count on weak Republicans to go along with it.
The real question you’ve raised is whether the CA emigrants bring liberal policies with them, or whether they’ve had enough and lean more conservative.
It took a few generations for Eastern Europeans and Russians to become thoroughly disillusioned with Communist rule. Immigrants to the US from there frequently warn us about the dangers of the path we are on.
