Through Antifa and BLM, the Democrats are preparing for war. The riots, looting, arson, and public beatings taking place every day are merely practice for the coming revolutionary conflagration. They are war-gaming to see how best to seize control of the streets and intimidate citizens into ceding their right to vote for the candidate they support.
From the beginning, they forced the police to stand down. The constant drumbeat for defunding the police has sent a message to LEOs everywhere: "Don't interfere" when the insurrection goes hot.
Knowing that the police can be constrained into allowing anarchy to reign, they then went after the National Guard and regular army, saying it would be un-American to deploy troops to quell the violence and restore law and order against "mostly peaceful" protesters exercising their First Amendment rights.
They appear to be having great success in controlling the narrative, but if they think this nation is going down without a fight, they have another "think" coming.
Americans believe that one can never be too rich, too thin, or too well armed. And we are, indeed, well armed, with citizens who are beginning to see the game that is being played. Many estimate that between 300 million and 700 million firearms are in the hands of the public.
If only 10% of those guns are brought to bear, it would mean a minimum of 30 million weapons deployed against Antifa and BLM. No one wants to see bloodshed, especially gun-owners, who for the most part want to be left alone to protect their families, homes, places of worship, and places of employment.
Yet people are not going to stand by and watch America become another "socialist paradise."

Had one in my ‘61 Chevy stepside… still have the rack, wish I still had that 3 on the tree truck.
I remember the video of the couple in front of their house. Yeah, they showed their weapons. When the mob saw them they kept moving.
The most important lesson to remember in all this chaos is how to kill snakes.
This is true, and in the bigger cities where most of the unrest is taking place now, the cops will be mostly unemployed and fending for themselves by then.Or will side against those who they blame for their unemployment...
the police have not chosen to stand down, their masters at city hall what support the insurrection are to blame. The day will come when the police will turn on them and then the war will be on. Many are ready now.
The logical next step now is for the BLMANTIFA to take over city councils and mayor offices in several cities simultaneously. I have been half expecting that to y happen for a month. In Democrat states it is probably even money whether the governor would move to oust them. If the Democrats win in November I don’t expect this crap to stop just because they have won the presidency and maybe the Congress because the leaders of the street fighting are not the same as the leaders of the Democrats and would be in instant competition with the revolutionaries. At the same time a Biden Presidency which, of course, would not include Biden except as a picture on the wall, would be faced with the reality of needing to squash their ideological partners.
Identify the protest leaders. They are easy to spot. Take them out and the mobs become disorganized and confused. Once they have looted and burned businesses they are usually too drunk to fight. Easy pickings!
Another thought. Take charge of mob. Lead them to the homes of their supporting elite as new targets. Payback is a b****!
Provide an ample supply of rocks and Molotov cocktails.

Forbearance is as fundamental to the American People as anything, and it is part of America's British heritage, enshrined into US law by the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, that the USA will evolve and undergo revolutionary change by peaceful evolution.
HOWEVER, the patience of the American People is not unlimited, and they have no intention of relinquishing the fundamental principles that have made the USA the greatest, most free, most just, most peaceful, richest--and most revolutionary--nation the world has ever known.
Americans will evolve, but they will not surrender to mob rule.
The American People know that we live either under the law or under the law of the jungle, and they have no intention of submitting to the law of the jungle.
Those who don't understand this are in for a surprise.

And the follow up to that revelation is to realize that the local governments of dem controlled cities,counties and towns have steadily weeded out LEO applicants, selecting compliant police commissioners, chiefs of police who have gradually removed old school cops from mid level commands...as well as decreeing changes in the police academies.
In my 70 + years I've had a number of LEO acquaintances and friends, ranging from HS buddies who as cadets emptied parking meters, to metro, county, and state troopers...even a DEA agent or two. Over the decades they have remarked on those policy and political changes with great concern. I'm sure some retired LEOs on this board have seen the same.
Small town and rural county LEOs, I believe, have thus far rejected the Dem Big City approach as far as I have seen.
Voter intimidation will not be easy. There will be confrontation. People will insist on voting and will succeed.
Voter fraud is the thing to fear.
The Democrats will use every imaginable scheme to commit voter fraud, because they know that's the only way they can win. Their tactics will be imaginative.
It’s not going to even get close to that. This action in Portland is one of many going on that looks to be the vanguard of other coming actions to destroy this movement.
