“Judas Sessions sold his soul the minute he recused himself from all things Rosenstein/Mueller/Russia. He opened the door for the corrupt FBI and DOJ to attempt to strangle the Trump Presidency in its infancy.”
Absolutely correct.
His time in the Senate was great. He was a true conservative. But he failed badly when he became AG. And rightly or wrongly, he will be known in the future for sabotaging the Trump presidency in its first term. That’s his legacy.
My take as well. Sessions was a pretty good Senator. He was a terrible AG.
As I thought - too many magic mushrooms.
For Sessions to have received a single vote is astonishing.
“Was” being the operative word. John Roberts might have been a good judge at some point too, but that was then, this is now.
Jeff Sessions did more than betray Trump, he betrayed all of us. He put us through years of hell because he didnt have the integrity to tell Trump he was going to recuse himself.
We can forgive him for his weakness, but that doesnt mean we are willing to put him back in a position to betray us again.
Sorry Jeff. Stay home, go fishing, enjoy your grandkids and leave us alone.
TRUST TUBAVILLE!

James Comey waited until Jeff Sessions was appointed to Attorney General and then intercepted Sessions before he could lay eyes on FISA and all other proof of corruption. Comey told Jeff Sessions he was under investigation for the Russia Hoax and had to recuse. Jeff Sessions could not have access to Russia Hoax documents nor play any oversight role in which James Comey, as head of FBI could tell the media that Sessions was “investigating himself”. Had Sessions recused, the Dems would scream “constitutional crisis” and invalidate the Trump presidency by pointing to Sessions and saying he’s Trump’s fixer, violating traditional laws/ethics to manipulate the Russia Hoax in President Trump’s favor.
Rosenstein had to recuse himself too, because he actually signed one of the FISA’s and was active in the coup. But he didn’t recuse himself, Sessions was unable to obtain proof that Rosenstein should recuse, and James Comey knew but wanted Rosenstein in place to appoint Mueller.
So the investigation into the coup was at a standstill for almost 2 years. Sessions did trigger countless large investigations which have gone on for a few years now.
Patriots in government are trying to hold trials. Dems covering for coup plotters are propping up Covid-19 to halt the trials. Brennan or Clapper is quoted as saying , “I’ll be happy to answer questions, as soon as a vaccine is available.” Deep staters are citing risk of contagion for not attending court.
We patriots can kick start the trials that have been delayed for years by breaking the Covid-19 fake planned-demic. Then witnesses have to testify - Hillary’s hearing will take place as planned as with those of Comey, Clapper etc.
Claiming Sessions is “Judas” and “sold his soul” is ignorant and easy.
The funny thing is, other than being a reliable vote, I can't find any committees he chaired (excluding sub-committees and minority ranking), no legislation that he sponsored that became law, or anything else distinguishing him as a Senator.

Much of the swamp has been drained by Trump “Promoting” them...
I find it pretty interesting how it has worked out.
Benedict Arnold was actually quite a good general.
Maybe hes just spineless then. As I recall, the entire basis for his recusal was 1) he was at a dinner party that the Russian Ambassador also attended and 2) he and several of his staff once met with the Russian Ambassador and several of his staff.
Is that all it took for Comey to put the fear of God into the poor man?
Actions have consequences. This fence-straddling weak-kneed quisling made his bed. Now he gets to sleep in it.
I always laugh at these articles that act like somehow someone is entitled to a position of power. Poor Sessions. He deserves a seat of importance because... well, just because.
LOL. Don’t let the door hit you on the @$$ on the way out, Jeffie.

Yes/! Join Jimmy Carter and go fishing and avoid swamp rabbits.
While he very well may have been manipulated into recusing (which doesn't speak well to his intelligence), once he realized how his recusal was was going to adversely affect the administration of justice, he should have had the decency to resign. He stayed on far too long, and prolonged the damage.
Personally, I didn't want him back in the senate because of his full support of asset forfeiture. That, and the fact that he's obviously seen better days. He should have just retired and gone on with his life. Not much sympathy for him here.
Why do you say that? What are you basing it on? Has he a record as a public official or elected official? Sessions on the other hand made a decision and suffered the consequences. Thats the way it works. And until soon-to-be Sen Tuberville proves otherwise we should wholeheartedly support him...like we did Sessions when he came out for Trump early and was his AG pick, before he went AWOL
Uh, because he worked against the Republican Party's President? That he can't be trusted with a burnt out match on open borders or much of anything else?
Nope.
He was confronted with DOJ recusal regulation at 28 CFR 45.2, having had a political relationship with the Trump campaign.
The "unreported" conversation with the Russian Ambassador was disclosed to the FBI - he asked if such a thing had to be reported, and was told "no," because it was part of the ordinary course of business. The DEMs tried to get Sessions kicked out of office on the basis that he lied on his foreign contacts report. That was more of the usual sort of nonsense from the DEMs. They make up law on the fly, and ignore law that is on the books.
So the investigation into the coup was at a standstill for almost 2 years. Sessions did trigger countless large investigations which have gone on for a few years now.
Please tell me this is a joke? Sessions, much like Lindsey Graham, said he was going to investigate and target leakers. Outside of the Senate Intel guy who was screwing the young reporter and leaked the dossier who was prosecuted? None. By the way, he got a really cushy deal.
This administration suffered the most leaks I have ever seen in my lifetime - relatively easy investigations based on phone records and emails - and NOBODY else has been even named as a leaker outside of the some FBI bosses. If you don’t have enough to prosecute them you polygraph them and they resign! They have not been prosecuted either and were rewarded with book deals and high paid gigs on liberal networks.
Sessions said he had appointed Huber to look into things. Huber did nothing and honestly seemed surprised when he was asked about it.
There are no planned trials because NOBODY has been indicted. Nobody! Sessions did nothing. He is a nice man and I also thought he was a terrific Senator, but he was the WORST nominee for Trump and it is not even close. Without his recusal (OVER NOTHING - he still does not get it) there would NOT have been a special counsel. Comey and DOJ played him like a fiddle to damage Trump and thumb their noses at us.
Fair, right, wrong, or indifferent..... this is the legacy of Jeff Sessions.
