Authorities in Georgia say an enraged father took things too far and crossed a line, resulting in his arrest, after he found a grown man in his 14-year-old daughter's bedroom.
Ismael Casillas, 41, has been charged with aggravated assault for allegedly attacking and severely beating 20-year-old Keywontrezes Humphries in the early hours of July 4 after finding the man at the family's home in Coweta County.
Casillas is accused of knocking out and chipping several of Humphries' teeth, and choking the young man.
Investigators with the sheriff's office said that had Casillas allowed the unwelcome guest to leave after the thrashing, they might not have pursued legal actions against him, reported Fox 5 Atlanta.
But then Casillas went a step farther by allegedly asking his wife to bring him his gun.
Humphries jumped out of a bedroom window in an effort to escape, but Casillas was waiting for him in the front yard, where the beating continued, according to investigators.
The aggrieved parent allegedly threatened Humphries' life and fired shots as the bloodied and bruised 20-year-old fled.
Georgia law allows homeowners to use force to defend themselves and their families from intruders, but only so long as they present a threat.

What I find hilarious is I worked for a couple of years in Africa and have traveled there numerous times and I NEVER heard of anyone named Keywontrezes, or Keyshawn, or any other of the stupid names popular in the USA.
Heck, most of the Africans I worked with had names like, George, Robert, Mary,...ya know, real names.
Not like 14 year old girls haven't be enticing 20 year old guys to their bedroom for all of humanities existence.
In the old days, a marriage would have been in order.
I live in Texas and thus could not be on the jury. I wish I could. He would walk and I would buy him a steak dinner.
Didnt realize he shot up the neighborhood.
Id still let him off for temporary lack of judgement in the face of what was happening with his daughter.
And Im still not happy with the state going after him.

The laws are getting crazier all the time - self defense, home intrusion, people trespassing on your property and suing ... the rights go to the offender not the victim anymore.
Political correctness? It is called State law.
This is a case of statutory rape or what some people call is jail bait.
Historically people got married at early ages, but that was because people did not live as long. We were more of an agriculture society too. Most people at the time could skin a Buck or run a trotline. Today most people are city slickers, and they never fired a gun or even changed a car tire.
Back when my daughter was a young teen, a “beating” on any miscreant trying to put their hands on her would be the LEAST thing he’d have to worry about.
Shallow grave out in the Pine Barrens would be more like it.
Hmm, maybe.
If the perp were dead there would be only the fathers side of the story being told.
I worked at Vons for a few years because my medical insurance became SO HIGH after Ocare it was ridiculous, anyway the produce manager there was Hispanic and his name tag said Jorge, he would become VERY upset anytime anyone called him Jorge instead of George!! I asked him why he just didnt have the company change his damn name tag to George he said they wouldnt do it because it wasnt his legal name GO FIGURE!! He LOVED being an American he said the absolute best day of his life was getting his citizenship’ he was also a very hard worker and an AMAZING father and husband!!

As least he missed. I won't feel bad if a jury lets him off, or if he pleads to a lesser charge. I'm not sure this warrants a felony conviction with potentially 20 years. But gunowners should realize once the threat is over, you don't get to shoot at a criminal. It can land you in jail, can even land a LEO in jail.
Haha!
A father doing what any decent father would do.
Unfortunately, the SOB is still alive and able to walk.
Pretty sure Mr. Cassilas is “judgment proof.”
I think there would be a real fight to get on the jury rather than the usual bunch trying to avoid jury duty. Would be the shortest jury deliberation on record.
Only one thing stops these child molesting Clowns,
Death.
Not guilty
I don’t understand. Innocent.
