"But of course if we tried to institute mass testing of all people you’d be against that too."

If it were mandated of course I would be soundly against it as would the framers of our country and Constitution.

This would be akin to a "general warrant" which allows broad searches of anyone and any place. Our Constitution prohibits general warrants and provides for searches only in specific circumstances that a warrant clearly states where to search and what they are searching for. A mandate for mass testing like a general warrant would be way to broad and without probable cause that any one particular individual was infected, therefore it would be unconstitutional.

Your point about not being a dick to the help is spot on. Your continued rant about “don’t be a dick. Follow the rules. Wear a mask” is not.

I was thinking like this:

https://www.amazon.com/Valken-Airsoft-Kilo-Mesh-Face/dp/B078S8CRLR/ref=mp_s_a_1_29?dchild=1&keywords=airsoft+mask+mesh&qid=1594588072&sprefix=airsoft+mask&sr=8-29

I think someone posted this a few days ago, or something very similar.

So you’re against anything that might help. Which makes you a problem.

It’s a simple matter of logic. Once you’re at city wide, county wide, or state wide mandate, pretty much all the stores are going to comply. So now you have a choice: wear a mask, or know ahead of time you’re in for a confrontation. If you take the second path you’re on the way to being a dick, because you’re putting yourself in a position where the employee’s have to confront you. And when they do you’re either going to comply, or not. And if not things are likely to escalate, at the very least they might kick you out.

So if you believe in not being a dick to the help, and your region has a mask rule...

It is in some places. And more importantly businesses are generally complying when the rules. So if you want to go to a business, you are in a comply or confront situation. Now outside of businesses I don’t care. I only mask going into businesses, and the one I frequent that has chosen to not care I don’t (tobacco shop, Karens already hate them, so what do they care). It’s a simple matter of not creating problems. I’m sure there are employees of the businesses that think it’s stupid too, but they like getting paid, and I have no reason to make their life more difficult. Because in the end NOTHING gets accomplished by not wearing a mask. Best case scenario you’re right, they’re pointless but nobody is going to care. Maybe 5 10 years from now when we do a historical look at this the science folks say “yeah the no mask were right, they really didn’t do crap” and you get to feel good. Woopdee do.

This made me think of Calvin Munerlyn

Who is that you may ask? He is the security guard who was murdered at a dollar store in Flint, Michigan on May 8, 2020 while doing his job. He told a shopper that her daughter needed to wear a mask in the store which resulted in an argument. The disgruntled shopper contacted her husband and son, who came from home, went to the store and killed Mr. Munerlyn, so they had plenty of time to think about what they were about to do.

Link to story here

However; all of the involved parties were black, so there is no white racist boogeyman angle to exploit, hence this murder is not important to the 'selective-outrage' contingent. Needless to say; there was no blm protest of this black man's death.

“Hawkins was arrested and charged with murder and possession of a handgun by a felon.”

From your link. They hired a felon for security? Don’t they generally require a background check?

Then don’t worry about it. I don’t. I walk every walk day with the gyms closed, no mask. Cause no problem.

This may happen in the not too distant future. What if there is a mandate for the RFID chip implant. A) do you take it to “just get along and not be a dick”, or B) refuse it and expect a confrontation at every store you try to frequent to do business with?

Most wearing masks understand this doesn’t protect them.....but they comply with the businesses who require them so those businesses don’t get shut down.
