Since it is the Fourth, thought everyone would like to hear the new version of "God Bless The USA" featuring Lee Greenwood and the US Air Force Singers

Some sanity left in this great Country.
Fantastic arrangement, harmonies and performance.
Greenwood still has it.
Thanks for posting.
Better than the original. Chill bumps and a lump in my throat.
Those personnel have some awesome pipes.
I hope Trump uses this at his rallies. I like it even more than the original recording.
It is done nicely.
A great song.
That was so beautiful
The lady that was singing last night during the Mount Rushmore event was AMAZING(During the fireworks display) brought tears to my eyes
Thanks! I enjoyed this beautiful new version. It’s a keeper.
I really needed a pick-me-up and this was perfect, especially with the “singing sergeants.” enhancing the vocals. Great job by all.
Damned leaky eyes.
Short story about this song:
Years ago, my Dad brought my brother and me to the Marine Corps Birthday Party at Camp Smith, Peekskill, NY. We started the day with coffee and donuts, watching old USMC recruiting films. From there, it was out to the rifle range where I first fired an M1 Garand. I am going to own an M1 this year, for certain.
From there, we visited the parade deck (Dad’s term; brother and I didn’t serve in the military), watched the Marine Corps Silent Drill Team, fell over in awe.
Then, they opened the beer taps. That was fun.
After more than a few cold ones, we went to the gymnateria for dinner. We sat for a few minutes, then in marched the Commandant’s Own Drum & Bugle Corps. They played a song we had never heard before called “God Bless the USA.” After they played the melody once or twice, they put down their horns and drums and sang the song a cappella.
It was a hell of a way to hear this fantastic song for the first time. I will never forget it.
Oh. Dinner was delicious; prime rib, baked potatoes, etc.
And too much red wine.
Also, we sat at a table with two or three Medal of Honor winners from Vietnam.
When I think of days like this, I miss my Dad even more. God Bless You, Dad. I hope you’re enjoying eternity with God and all your friends and our family.
WOW!!! Absolutely AWESOME!! Thank you Lee.
I hafta say....reading this thread and your post and hearing Lee Greenwood's new cut of "God Bless the USA" was a real drain on my kleenex box!
Hope the President adopts this new version for his rallies post haste!
(..and I hope he ditches that un-inspirational, downer, dumb song at the close of his rallies!)

There is something wrong with the video. It’s all blurry.
There’s a lot more to that story, but I just shared the highlights!
I looked on Apple Music, but can’t find the new recording. Would someone post or FreepMail me a source for purchasing?
Thanks!
Youre a good son to honor your dad so
A fabulous, fabulous blessing!
Dad was a good father. I get my patriotism from him. It’s a gift.
