On Thursday, July 2, Chicago Department of Public Health Commissioner Allison Arwady, M.D., issued an Emergency Travel Order directing travelers entering or returning to Chicago from states experiencing a surge in new COVID-19 cases to quarantine for a 14-day period from the time of last contact within the identified state. The Order will go into effect on Monday July 6, 2020, at 12:01am. Below you will find answers to common questions regarding the Emergency Travel Order and how it applies to Chicago residents and visitors.
States Currently Covered by the Order When the order goes into effect on July 6, travelers from the following states will be directed to quarantine upon arrival in Chicago: Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Nevada, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Utah.
Insanity. Pure bat chit crazy.
Well, at least they won’t get murdered.
Sure, I want to travel to Chicongo and have some feral shoot me for my wallet. In a pig’s eye.
And who pays for quarantine?
That’s all right. I don’t know anybody in Chi-town anyway.
Does that affect people changing planes at O’Hare or Midway?
So how’s the hotel biz in Chicago these days? Guess Chicago doesn’t need that hotel tax revenue.
Judge slaps down Pritzker order Illinois Is Open For Business!
How about Sonora, Jalisco nd Sinaloa?
Don’t think that applies here.
Who cares what Chi-town does? It’s a fallen city that will never make it back to civilization. Duh!
In general, the answer is YES. Such persons must spend two weeks in a cage. There may be a state quarantine before the city quarantine. So that’s two weeks of state quarantine to get to two weeks of city quarantine before you can catch your plane to exit.
They don’t have to worry about this old boy. Hell would be frozen over with 8’ of ice before I’d go there. All the wild horses in Texas could drag me to that crap hole.
Central Planning offered the same boilerplate to Pennsylvania:

Same 15 states.
Looks like an unconstitutional compact to violate the interstate commerce clause.
Wisconsin is DEEPLY saddened that Illinois still wants us. :(
I guess SOMEONE has to pay for their cr@ppy toll roads, LOL!
What rational person would want to go to Chicago in the first place?
Who cares? I do. I’m from Florida and just spent a solid month there - abd have to back in 2 weeks for another month. Either I don’t go home (remain in Michigan with family, or don’t go back.
My livelihood and the success of a $1.3B project depends on me and my team of Florida-based engineers.
Although Fl and TX have 4 and 5 times the death rate of NY right now...so people should at least be tested before they come to the Big Apple
