Gov. Tom Wolf and health secretary Dr. Rachel Levine on Wednesday expanded on their previous order that everyone must wear masks inside businesses, saying masks are now required whenever anyone leaves home. It takes effect immediately.
This mask-wearing order is essential to stopping the recent increase in COVID-19 cases we have seen in Pennsylvania, Wolf said. Those hot spots can be traced to situations where Pennsylvanians were not wearing masks or practicing social distancing two practices that must be adhered to if we want to maintain the freedoms we have in place under our reopening.
Wolf cited the Disease Prevention and Control Act as giving authority for the order.
The full order can be read here.
It requires a mask in situations including being in an outdoor area when its impossible to consistently stay at least six feet away from people who arent members of the same household and working in any space visited by the general public. It allows some exceptions, which as when a medical or mental health condition prevents someone from wearing a mask, or when someone is operating equipment or doing work where a mask would cause a safety hazard.
The order will be sent to state and local officials, law enforcement and others tasked with educating people who dont comply with the order, according to a news release.
While Wolf has said a person breaks the law if they dont wear a mask in situations such as entering a store, he and Levine have also downplayed the possibility of prosecuting violators. They have likened it to things like wearing shirts and shoes inside businesses that require them, or stopping at stop signs, saying people do those things not out of fear of punishment, but because they understand its the right thing.
It's been a mixed bag for Tommie the Commie today.
The heat is increasing over Pennsylvania's abysmal distinction of having the nation's highest percentage of COVID deaths occurring in nursing homes--68%
While the raw number is lower than NY or NJ the percentage is outrageously higher as those states hover near 50%.
So, following the Alinsky playbook: Create a distraction!

Whos ringing the liberty bell is Philadelphia this year? Foreigners?
A law?
Do you know the meaning of that word?
“While Wolf has said a person breaks the law if they dont wear a mask in situations such as entering a store...”
Pass & Stow?
In your opinion does Trump even need to bother to campaign here. Wolf doing all Trump’s work for free.
Having a little party on the 4th of July.He kills little Babies and old people.
Tom Wolf and his Tranny Health Secretary can go fornicate themselves.
So if someone else doesn’t wear one, can I punish or ostracized them just so I can be exempt from wearing them forever?
I cant help but think of the report last month about the restaurant in Ohio along the Pennsylvania border that named Gov. Wolf their Employee of the Month for the month of May ... because he drove so much business across the state line into Ohio.
The more people acquiesce the more they tighten the screws.
At least neither Wolf or any PA mayors have allowed another CHAZ to happen in Philadelphia or Pittsburgh, and I sure hope they never do.
I would laugh if some gun store made Obama their employees of the month for causing a rIse in gun sales.
Gee, if we defund the police, who is gong to enforce this?
God gave us faces. He wants us to share expressions with each other and communicate in more than verbal methods.
Screw these satan followers.
Another thing we are learning is that without facial expression (hidden behind masks) there is little use for video or a picture. Sound and radio may come back in a world behind masks.
