Facebook on Tuesday banned hundreds of accounts, groups and pages that it said were linked to the Boogaloo movement, a loosely organized extremist collective whose members have occasionally shown up armed to racial justice and anti-quarantine protests around the country.
The banned content includes a core set of 220 Facebook accounts, 95 accounts on Facebook-owned Instagram and dozens of pages and groups that Facebook, in a blog post, said posed a "credible threat" to public safety. Facebook said the accounts were "actively promoting violence against civilians, law enforcement, and government officials and institutions."

Also the ‘proud boys’
Sounds way too gay to be a real conservative group of actual men.
Ringo is pissed.
..aaand the company jumps when he plays reveille...
Boogaloo was a pseudonym used by the lead singer for the Coasters (Kent Harris) when he cut some records for other labels.

I wonder what sting operations the FBI tried setting up the TEA Party with. Having seen Obama’s weaponized use of the IRS there can be no doubt that the FBI also tried to play games.
Just 220 accounts in a nation of 330 million??
They are saying it is the group that started the violent riots.

(Snicker, snicker)
Next group on the hit-list is Threepers.
And I’ve heard that Oath Keepers are falling under scrutiny too.
Weird. Thanks.
“Boogaloo” is so bizarre it almost sounds like an FBI front group set up to catch “right wing extremists.” I am sure they exist, but I just don’t see that they’re a major problem - unless coordinated by the FBI or some foreign power.
I think this is clearly a desperation move on the part of the left to blame the right for leftist violence.
Nobody can do the Shingaling like I do!
Nobody can do the Shake like I do!
Nobody can do the Boogaloo like I do!
Nobody can do the Philly like I do!
Gay was the first thing I thought when I read something about them.
quite a “movement” ... lol
“I think if it really existed, we might have seen it appear before...”
Well, FReepers are not, in my experience, the most “up to the moment” on breaking affairs on the interwebs, or with the younger crowd.
I mean, when people were planning a mass mailing of tea bags to DC, there were only about 3 of us on the whole site who tried to point out that “teabagging” had a modern connotation that was going to open us up to ridicule. 99% of the site had no clue.
“Breakin 2: Electric Boogaloo”
Yep, this is the reference. It ties into Civil War II..... CWII; Electric Boogaloo, or shortened to just Boogaloo.
Nah, that is a left-wing propaganda line. They know antifa started the violence, but they don’t want to admit that antifa even exists, much less that the right is correct about them. So they found a few “Boogaloo Bois” who showed up to the protests and latched on to that to craft a narrative.
Thanks for posting those links. I was heretofore unaware of Boogaloo & His Gallant Crew, an early rap group. Although they failed to chart nationally, Bo Diddley scored a hit with "Cops and Robbers" in 1957,the year after Boogaloo's version came out.
James Brown did the boogaloo in 1964. Here it is on YouTube:
This is only a short time before he hit the big time.
