Facebook on Tuesday banned hundreds of accounts, groups and pages that it said were linked to the Boogaloo movement, a loosely organized extremist collective whose members have occasionally shown up armed to racial justice and anti-quarantine protests around the country.
The banned content includes a core set of 220 Facebook accounts, 95 accounts on Facebook-owned Instagram and dozens of pages and groups that Facebook, in a blog post, said posed a "credible threat" to public safety. Facebook said the accounts were "actively promoting violence against civilians, law enforcement, and government officials and institutions."

The only place I’ve ever seen the term “boogaloo” is in these leftwing attacks on it. Does it exist? I think if it really existed, we might have seen it appear before, at least in some comment.

Fake accounts can be erased just the same as real ones. Once they are erased no one will know for sure.

“Boogaloo” is the result of some trolls testing to see if they could get groups like the ADL and SPLC to bite on a fake meme. It worked. In 2016 similar people got the Washington Post to report that they had been going into black neighborhoods with “weed and 40’s” on election days to suppress the black vote “with great success”.
Reporters and leftist activists at places like the three institutions I mentioned will believe anything as long as it intersects with their narrative of white people behaving badly. They are immune to parody.
