New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir Grewal filed voter fraud charges Thursday against two Paterson city officials who allegedly engaged in a mail-in ballot scheme in connection to a special election in May.
Grewal levelled the charges against Paterson City Councilman Michael Jackson, Councilman-Elect Alex Mendez, and two other men after the Postal Inspection Service warned Grewals office that hundreds of mail-in ballots were found in a Paterson mailbox, InsiderNJ reported Thursday.
The attorney generals Office of Public Integrity & Accountability (OPIA) began a probe after the Postal Inspection Service issued the warning. Paterson authorities decided to conduct the May 12 special election through mail-in ballots due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which has reportedly killed more than 124,000 people in the U.S.
Only 13,557 of the 16,747 vote-by-mail ballots in Paterson were counted, a local NBC affiliate in New York reported in May. More than 800 ballots in Paterson were invalidated for appearing in mailboxes tethered together. One mailbox reportedly had hundreds of ballots tied together.
The board of elections disqualified another 2,300 ballots after concluding that the signatures did not match voting records.
One Paterson woman named Romana Javier, after NBC showed her a list of people who allegedly voted on her block, told the channel that she never received a ballot and did not vote. We did not receive vote-by-mail ballots and thus we did not vote, she said. This is corruption. This is fraud.
The potential for fraud as a result of state and local officials resorting to mail-in ballots has become a topic of conversation among conservatives. Twitter flagged one of President Donald Trumps tweets for suggesting in May that Californias mail-in ballots will be substantially fraudulent.
Mail-in ballots pre-selected for Biden are being printed at this very moment.
Has a presidential election ever been postponed in this country?
It should be postponed until the horrific monstrous world ending coronvirus is no longer a major threat to life in the universe.
If we made it a DEATH PENALTY Offense for Vote Fraud it might help.
Doesn’t mention who the votes were for... so I assume it was Democrats.
This is just the pre-season. Lots of time for the Democrats to work out all of the kinks, update the playbook, select the roster and practice, practice, practice. They will be ready on Election Day. Count on it.
Yep.
It was in the city of Paterson which is dem. It probably means that dems were cheating each other. There is a lot of money to be made there.
It’s interesting you say that. The Dems have been so hysterical about Trump attempting to change the date of the election, that I’m now certain that their voter fraud scheme needs the election to be held on November 3rd in order to work.
Not to my knowledge. For a presidential election to be postponed both congress and the president would have to agree on the postponement. You know that is not going to happen.
Id accept that... at least a mandatory 5 years in the pen and $25k fine PER fraudulent ballot.
Chris Wallace take notice :D
“Count on it.”
And count they will. Even if they manage to lose, they will count the ballots over and over until they win.
Only 20% fraud? I’m sure the Dims would prefer that number to be at least 1/3.

I unfortunately caught a minute of that doosh a few days ago saying there is no proof of any voter fraud due to mail in voting.
Yada yada yada.
Just tell me how long they will be in prison.
More and more our elections resemble those mentioned in Bored of the Rings: The Sty itself was divided into farthings,* half-farthings, and Indian-head nickels ruled by a mayor who was elected in a flurry of ballot-box stuffing every Arbor Day.
