PHOENIX – The federal government could give Americans $4,000 apiece to take a vacation if U.S. Sen. Martha McSally’s proposal takes off.

McSally (R-Ariz.) introduced the bill, the American TRIP Act, on Monday, the day before President Donald Trump visits Yuma and Phoenix.

The legislation is meant to act as an incentive to travel domestically. Couples would start at $8,000 in vacation tax credits and receive $500 for each child who is a dependent. Credits would apply for 2020, 2021 and 2022.

“It will also encourage Americans to safely get out of their homes and discover or rediscover Arizona along with the rest of the amazing destinations our country has to offer after a difficult several months stuck inside,” McSally said in a press release.

“Can we lose this seat and keep GOP control of the Senate?

She is weak and worthless.

I said weak and worthless.‘

A woman who would push her way into flying jets is enough of a dipshit to pull any dumbass stunt.

Benefit: It’s a tax credit that means one must at least file taxes in order to qualify.

Also would be a big help to the industry most effected by the shut down.

Negative: Can’t think of one: Taxation is theft. Income tax is the epitome of theft. It’s actually slavery.

Yes, but we have Colorado and Maine in Jeopardy. Montana and Iowa are not exactly going to be easy to keep either. I think we’re doomed in the senate.

.

Further Paying People NOT TO WORK?

Funding SMALL Business Assistance (directly - least middleman involve) to have/install Virus Prevention Measures so they can go back into business full-blast.

Would THAT not be far better ???

Our leaders are nuts. How about a huge tax break for people who either work or want to work and stay at home nights instead of destroying the country. Reminder that Federal covid aid sent to Minnesota is being diverted to repair area destroyed by riots.

I had forgotten who she is running against. He is a bad one.

If I lived in that state I would hold my nose and vote for her. Another choice like between Obama and Romney.

I would not contribute one red cent to her campaign. Whatever I could donate would go to President Trump.

If we lose the Senate for the next two years, we lose the ability to confirm judges for two years. If we lose the presidency, we lose everything forever.

Yes, the Grand Canyon is open and you can get accommodations right in the national park. Usually you have to make reservations months in advance.

“As long as it is paid for by government dollars and not taxpayer dollars, sure why not?”

I’m a little unsure here, what is the difference?

No, actually I’m not, there is no such thing as “government dollars!” There are only taxpayer dollars!

“A woman who would push her way into flying jets is enough of a dipshit to pull any dumbass stunt.”

IMO, anyone who’d write a statement like that is enough of a dipshit to pull any dumbass stunt. I met a lot of jet pilots during my 24 years in the USAF, and there is no shortage of dipshits there flying jets, but being a woman is not one of the criteria that should keep people from becoming jet pilots. Too stupid to follow a checklist? Yes, I could see that being a bar to becoming a jet pilot. She survived, though, so that probably isn’t her problem. She flew combat missions in Iraq & Afghanistan, too. She deserves respect for that. A little, anyway. What have you done that gives you sufficient expertise that you think you can reasonably comment on her qualification to fly?

Then Senator McSally is proposing to pay me with my own money. And maybe skim a little off for her friends in the process.

That woman is trying to scam me!

“Is there nothing the government can’t do?”

At the federal level: balance the checkbook without printing counterfeit dollars.
