Police said a man and woman were attacked with rocks by a group of men gathered in front of the burned-out Wendy's restaurant in Atlanta where Rayshard Brooks was fatally shot by police, WSB-TV reported.
Ty Spiceland, 35, and a woman who didn't want to be identified were confronted by several people — some of whom were armed with handguns — on University Avenue around 1:30 p.m., the station said. Spiceland told WSB that members of the group punched him three times in the face when he rolled down his window and then threw rocks at his car.
In additional video from WSB reporter Matt Johnson, Spiceland also said he was told that white people aren't allowed on the road.
"Overall I absolutely agree with their side," he said. "All I wanted to do is just roll down the window and try and reason with the guy and say, 'Hey, we're not going to Wendy's, we're just passing through, we'll be gone in one second.' And he just didn't want to hear that or anything about that, he straight-up said, 'No white people are allowed on this road.'"
"It's scary to have someone come after you like that," Spiceland added to the station. "We take their side. We weren't being disrespectful in any kind of way. We were just trying to get on the interstate."
The woman in the vehicle who didn't want to be identified also said the group ordered them to turn around because of their skin color.
"They said, 'You can't go this way,'" the woman recalled in a separate video from Johnson, adding that she was told the reason was, "You're not African American. Only African Americans are allowed on this road. You're white, you're a cracker, whatever word they used. You're not allowed on this road. Turn around."
The woman told WSB she was injured by rocks thrown at her arms, legs, and face.
Police are now investigating, the station reported.

I am afraid the future is pretty close to now.
The local Fox station was reporting on the news that PDJT was going to host the 4th of Jul and there would be fireworks.
Most of the interviewed were basically ‘against’ it and not a one (got aired) mentioned OTHER outdoor events were held, fireworks should be okay.
ANYHOW
A ‘middle aged’ White woman said she was against the fireworks and events shouldn’t be held because all ‘HE’ was doing was looking for photo ops and with the COVID and all gatherings shouldn’t be held...
I didn’t hear if she was asked a question or not but I did hear her say (along the line)...the protests ARE important and if we don’t do it now who will?...
Until this beer flu, I had figured the guy I rent from was a R if not a conservative BUT he completely threw in with the beerflu fiasco (I am surprised he didn’t turn me in for not ‘hunkering down’).
On this latest Minneapolis ‘death by knee’ (or do they give it to beerflu?) I was explaining to him that the guy had been ‘fighting’ the cops and he and the MSM were treating it like 4 cops went out and found this Black guy and executed him and he actually likened it to a lynching.
I sent him the lead tape from the street corner camera and ‘broke it down for him’ he was still arguing with me and said he didn’t see the guy go to his knees after being ‘helped’ across the street to the squad car.
Anyway I found another tape from the same corner and it looked like a continuation to the first tape and about 4 minutes into it (according to the timer) a ‘new’ cop was telling the people who were in the car with the ‘victim’ that he was ok but an ambulance was called to check on him and in a short an ambulance pulled up...I pointed it out because if the second tape is a continuation of the first one, the time line is off as it didn’t appear to be sped up.
FINALLY the guy says to me ‘That is too much data for me, I have other things on my mind’ TYPICAL LIB response, don’t confuse the issue with facts.
(though I do sort of suspicion that he may have been yanking my chain(a little) because he knew I would leave.)
The guy still insists he is NOT a LIB but he definitely is a ‘never Trumper’ ...
So we are now being restricted from areas, not long before we are being hunted
