CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Two people are dead and 12 people are hurt at a block party that led to a shooting and several people being struck by vehicles in north Charlotte early Monday morning. Police are calling the incident a “mass casualty” and say over 100 rounds were fired into a crowd of around 400 people.
Just before 12:30 p.m., officials identified the two people killed as 29-year-old Kelly Miller and 28-year-old Christopher Antonio Gleaton. Police say some of the other people who were injured are fighting for their lives.
The violent scene unfolded around 12:30 a.m. on Beatties Ford Road near Catherine Simmons Avenue following an “unorganized” Juneteenth celebration.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said they were initially called to the area after hearing a pedestrian may have been hit. Officers arrived to find hundreds of people in the streets as shots went off.

Seems some of the best advice would be to “Stay away from large groups of black folks congregating. Your chances of getting shot are high”

Over 100 rounds fired into a crowd of 400 people and only 12 hit. THAT is some pretty bad shooting. Maybe they were holding their guns sideways?
The cops don’t even want to accompany the coroners to collect the bodies much less investigate the crime. The cops are not stupid or suicidal. They have no desire to go into minority areas to patrol, investigate or perform peacekeeping. They will collect their pay and be sure at the end of the shift to return to their families. Shootings,deaths and disorder will increase in Democrat controlled urban areas. Those that can will move to Republican areas. Unfortunately these urban refugees bring their politics with them.
I had front row seats to three blm marches in brooklyn last week.
I sat in a park across from the projects in crown heights and was the only white dude for miles.
Saw about a dozen black dudes shooting off fireworks and walked up to them and asked them if they had any extra.
Ironically, the black woman got incredibly nasty and said “turn around and walk!!!!”
So I left them.
A bunch of hispanic guys asked my why i wasn’t walking in the march.
I said “it’s not my concern” and they kept moving.
I’m probably gonna stop all of the above.
It’s a West Side Story relationship and as I recall that didn’t end too well for the guy.
I don’t like cops, but they are known for doing this all over. It’s kinda like islamics, look the other way.
The story reported the “gathering” as peaceful and positive. I guess calling it a protest doesn’t fit their narrative.
