EXCLUSIVE: Trump Isn’t Sending National Guard To Seattle — ‘I Think It’s Great Sitting Back And Watching This Catastrophe’
Daily Caller ^ | 20 Jun 20 | Christian Datoc

President Donald Trump isn’t planning on imminently sending federal assets to reclaim the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone in Seattle, Wash. despite repeatedly threatening to do so, he told the Daily Caller in an exclusive Oval Office interview.

Trump spoke with the Caller for more than an hour Friday evening on a variety of issues, including racial inequality, coronavirus, advertising boycotts, John Bolton, China, and the 2020 election.

In recent days, Trump has urged Washington Gov. Jay Inslee to deploy National Guard troops to retake CHAZ and said that he himself “will take care of it” if Inslee fails to act. The president said Monday that he had discussed the situation with Attorney General Bill Barr. When asked by the Caller what Barr is “advising” him to do, POTUS answered, “right now, I think it’s great sitting back and watching this catastrophe.”

The Caller asked, if he indeed isn’t currently planning on intervening, why continue with the tweets and statements indicating he would do so.

“Well, because we can do it anytime we want,” Trump answered.

Trump in doing this is governing as a Constitutional president. I know it’s an unusual unfamiliar sight to many particularly considering the 8 years of pen-paper-phone governing by the Zeroid. Its local & state government’s job to do law enforcement, maintain public order. If they can’t there’s Constitutional mechanisms where they can ask for help. Right now they won’t because they think they’re scoring political points against Trump. They’re not! They’re doing the opposite! There’s also the added benefits of liberalism failure on parade. The citizens of these cities and states chose this. Stupid choosing should hurt! Unfortunately some people may pay the ultimate price before a lightbulb turns on in enough heads to make the changes needed.

I'll even give you a hand...just in case you dowant to have that discussion. UNDERSTANDING THE POSSE COMITATUS ACT AND THE INSURRECTION ACT

"The Posse Comitatus Act outlaws the willful use of any part of the Army or Air Force to execute the law unless expressly authorized by the Constitution or an act of Congress. History supplies the grist for an argument that the Constitution prohibits military involvement in civilian affairs subject to only limited alterations by Congress or the President, but the courts do not appear to have ever accepted the argument unless violation of more explicit constitutional command could also be shown. The express statutory exceptions include the legislation that allows the President to use military force to suppress insurrection or to enforce federal authority, 10 U.S.C. Sections 251-255, and laws that permit the Department of Defense to provide federal, state and local police with information, equipment, and personnel, 10 U.S.C. §§ 271-284."

Again, you're welcome.

Each state has their own National Guard that they can call up. They prefer lawlessness? Dumb

CHAZ (or CHOP) is the greatest campaign add ever invented. America, here is your choice...

Biden and Democrats = Seattle?

Or

Trump and Republicans = Texas (not allowing Antifa to tear down monuments)

I’m glad he did.

It’s one of the reasons I love this man, he says what he means.

If POTUS sent in military...

Talk about a no-win scenario...that would make the Kobayashi Maru look like a picnic.

Exactly,

It bothers me, that so many freepers want Trump “to do something” about the lawlessness in these left-wing globalist enclaves.

These sanctuary cities wanted autonomy to handle their own affairs. Now let them “wither on the vine”.

'They are too weak': Tucker Carlson accuses GOP of rewarding rioters with inaction

Tucker auditioning for Bolton's job?

Patience grasshopper. They will destroy themselves. It will make cleaning up the pieces easier.

This isn’t 1968. The folks who rioted in 68 now control our media and our schools.

“Trump isn’t planning on imminently sending federal assets.”

Good move. It is obvious that Republican governors stop land grabs in cities and that Democrat governors start land grabs in cities.

The command and control center of these leftist mobs is not where the statues are, not is it in the Seattle antifa/blm zone, whatever they call it.

So if you want to kill the contagion, note that you won’t find the source of it there, and must look elsewhere. Well, where is it? Is it inside the US, or outside?

Finding that and killing it is not going to look like a skirmish with the useful idiots vandalizing a statue or rooting out the peons in Chaz, as vidually satisfying as that may be.

He has to say it to keep vigilantes from feeding the fire and making it valid for the press to claim everybody does it.

How much money does the Federal gov’t put into the schools?
Wondering if Charter schools could counteract the leftist indoctrination.

Never let your enemy pick the battlefield. They want the battlefield to be Seattle.

Why do battle there when the head of the snake is safely elsewhere?

What makes you think the folks in that area are opposed to it? Do you think this was a conservative enclave before BLM and Antifa showed up or did they show up because they have always been comfortable and at ease there?

Title 10, when invoked, gives the President authority to act within states (not just “federal enclaves”).

Yes, you made that point in this reply...60.
I discussed your 10 U.S. Code § 12406 argument here...73.

I must take note at this point in the conversation that you didn't use the relevant statutes as you are wont to do.
As noted in my link above...The Insurrection Act consists of four statutes enacted at different times for different reasons that, when considered as a whole, provide the power that Presidents have used many times as the legal basis for using troops to enforce the law.
Title 10, Section 334
Title 10, Section 331
Title 10, Section 332
Title 10, Section 333
Things changed between 2008 and 2016. These Sections all now seem to be in Chapter 13 (see link below, Sections 251-254)(for example, see Codification and Amendments at bottom here...Section 251...2016-Pub. L. 114–328 renumbered section 331 of this title as this section.)
As can be seen here (CHAPTER 1211 - NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERS IN FEDERAL SERVICE), you weren't even in the correct chapter of the law.
You should have been in Chapter 13 - INSURRECTION...

§251. Federal aid for State governments
Whenever there is an insurrection in any State against its government, the President may, upon the request of its legislature or of its governor if the legislature cannot be convened, call into Federal service such of the militia of the other States, in the number requested by that State, and use such of the armed forces, as he considers necessary to suppress the insurrection.
There's that nagging State request thing again!
But here is what YOU want... §252. Use of militia and armed forces to enforce Federal authority
Whenever the President considers that unlawful obstructions, combinations, or assemblages, or rebellion against the authority of the United States, make it impracticable to enforce the laws of the United States in any State by the ordinary course of judicial proceedings, he may call into Federal service such of the militia of any State, and use such of the armed forces, as he considers necessary to enforce those laws or to suppress the rebellion.
Be sure to understand the underlined part above.

So if you really want to go into that circular argument again, take it up with President Trump.
The only circular argument is the one you always seem to present.

The “head of the snake” on the West Coast are:

1) The public schools and universities.

2) The public employee unions.

3) The progressive nonprofit corporations.

“When you issue a threat to use force, you better be prepared to act on it.”

I agree. CHOP needs to be shot down. But I have do not think the Mayor and Governor are being played by these radicals. I think something more sinister may lie under the surface. I need to dig more but George Webb has been pounding on this recently and some UN connection to this Capitol Hill area and now YT has removed his web existence and years of videos.

Yes I know he has Mossad connections but some of the recent stuff he was on had piqued my interest.
