Letting the crazies in Seattle do their thing is a visible image to the rest of America of what can happen when your local/State leaders cave in to anarchists.

It will be stopped.

Stop trying to blame Trump.

The mess in Seattle is the responsibility of the Mayor and the Governor. Neither has asked for the President’s help.

“...does that mean I am not entitled to the same protections as other citizens?”

Since you live in California you are aware of the affirmative action programs as they were curbed slightly in the 90’s in the state. Historically, affirmative action nationwide has taken many different forms, such as strict quotas, extra outreach efforts, and racial and gender preferences. In California, there are groups like LaRaza and the NAACP that are strong in support and pressuring the population. The state law only applies to state controlled, or semi-controlled entities. Private business does not fall under that statute.

Article I, Section 31 of the California Constitution prohibits preferential treatment and discrimination in state employment and contracting. The section was added by Proposition 209 in 1996. The amendment does not, however, prevent agencies and organizations that receive federal funding from implementing affirmative action programs according to federal law. And I know you are aware of sanctuary cities, the biggest affirmative action program in the US and used highly in California by the state government itself. And unions that press to hire minorities like the UFW. It’s there, It is just hidden behind a lot of smoke and mirrors. I grew up with it in the central valley. I see it today as they don’t care if people see it.

Do not judge others by what you think.
Unless you have a background of slave ancestors you do not know diddly squat how painful that must be.
You and I are fortunate having no slave ancestors.
I can’t imagine anything more depraved than owning other human being as your cattle, pay them nothing, and make them work for free, and rule on their lives like a God.

Non-intervention is best. It’s fun to watch as they shoot themselves in their foot.

Just a few points worth noting in response to that post of yours from last night ...

1. George W. Bush came within 220,000 Ohio votes of losing the 2004 election. That should have been a giant warning sign about his declining popularity and the growing concern about his fiscally irresponsible globalist agenda.

2. The numbers you post about the alleged outlays and appropriations for these military campaigns are irrelevant. Those of us who were following various media reports closely over the years recognized this. We picked up on some seemingly innocuous stories about the flood of raw U.S. currency that was being used to fund military efforts in Iraq back at that time. It was no coincidence that the U.S. saw a period of rapid currency inflation at the time -- with the cost of dollar-denominated oil rising from $33/barrel at the start of 2004 to $140 by mid-2008 ... and the price of gold rising from $400/ounce to over $1,000 over that same period.

3. See #2. It was also no coincidence that the Fed stopped publishing M3 money supply data in March 2006. In short, a huge chunk of the war effort was being financed by flooding the Middle East with enormous piles of cash.

4. In Ike's era, defense was perhaps 40 cents out of every dollar of government spending. It is now 11 cents. That says less about defense spending than it does about government spending overall. The combined Federal budget deficits for the years 1953-1960 was something like $19 billion -- and that included two fiscal years (1956 and 1957) when the Federal government actually operated with a surplus.

I’m glad he said it.

This is exactly the way change is supposed to happen in a Republic.

Blue states and cities do what blue states and cities do - and they fail miserably. Red states and cities do their thing - and win.

The voters are watching.

When President Trump threatens to go in and solve their problems for them, it doesn’t mean he ever had any intention of intervening. It is just a way of making the Democrats look bad showing how easy it would be.

When me and my brother didn’t clean our room, our mother used to say that if we didn’t hurry up, she would bring a big trash can down and throw all our stuff on the burning pile - she sad the whole thing would take her about fifteen minutes.

A few times, she had the fire going ant the trash can halfway full. We didn’t really think she’d burn it, but rather than take a chance we cleaned our room at that point.

That’s exactly what President Trump is doing - disciplining immature Democrats.

Where are the parents?? Don’t they wonder why they haven’t seen their kids in THREE WEEKS??!
___________________________________________________________

You fail to realize that many of these “kids” would KILL their own parents without so much as a blush. Many see their parents and their parents’ beliefs as a big part of “the problem”.

They’ve been taught that in public schools, colleges, and their “friends”(?) told them it is true. They also read it on the internets.

I wasn’t referring to my rights under California law, I was referring to my rights as a US citizen, re: 4th amendment rights, to be secure in my person, etc. The person I was posting to had implied that persons who lived in Democrat controlled states do not deserve to have their rights protected because of their residence there.

My family came to the USA in the 1890’s. They didn’t take that risk because they were happy being poor serfs (or worse historically...likely slaves at one time). I really don’t give a rat’s a** what my older history is. The best thing my grandparents did was come to this free country. I respect their many sacrifices by being a good citizen and working hard.

If you want to pander to people who are stuck in their supposed past, do it...but get off your “holier-than-thou” attitude. Pandering to people because of some supposed slight historically in their lineage is BS. Grow up. Pandering to them will only make their neurotic feelings stronger and they will never take charge of their lives and take advantage of this free country and the opportunities they have. The best thing for THEM was that their family came to this country...however they came. They should respect what those people went through by being productive, honest good citizens.

As to your snide assertion “Unless you have a background of slave ancestors you do not know diddly squat how painful that must be”...Most likely I have “slave ancestors” somewhere back to the start. Who cares???

These people who purportedly “slave ancestors” need to stop whining and work hard and make this an even greater free country. And you need to stop whining.

Are you sure you didn’t mean to post on the DIMocRAT Underground site?

Is your brain entrophied???

Have a GREAT day in this GREAT country.

Two things are possible here in my opinion.

1. Trump is moving assets around and waiting for the left to set up their little CHAZs all over the country, which he will knock down by surprise all at once when the time is right.

2. Trump discovered that he is surrounded by deep staters who have effectively mutinied and will not obey orders if he tells them to go in. He is therefore attempting to make a virtue of necessity.

At this point, I think #2 is more likely. If that’s the case, his options are very limited at this point. I might advise a direct appeal to the people at some point, spelling out in detail the constitutional crisis that the nation is in and the need for the citizens to rally to him if they wish to save the Republic. Such an action, however, would have drastic consequences.

This is a great country for sure. Arrived here at age 20 with $25 in my pocket, worked part time job washing dirty cooking pots in hospital kitchen to support me for my masters in engineering, and ended up belonging to a private golf club after retiring at age 57. Never collected a dime in welfare or unemployment checks. Not only never was unemployed, had 2 jobs for 10 years working 65 hours/week.

But this country has a blemish. Slavery! Can not get away from it, can not white wash it. Kudos to president Lincoln to fight a civil war and free the slaves. So yes, all the slave-masters belong in museums, not on streets.

You don’t understand the value of reconciliation and being reminded of history...good and bad. Many people are too “offended” by reality.

I absolutely want the history retained. In Museums. That is where it belongs. I have walked through every museum in DC. It is an amazing collection of US history in form of paintings & statues and books. I love DC museums, wore out my shoes during one week visit to DC. Mount Vernon and general Lee’s house overlooking Potomac are awesome.

Many don’t go to museums or don’t have museums in their town. Also, many “educators” don’t teach real history...they teach the children their political-controlled “history” which is often distorted, filled with political-controlled interpretations or has purposeful omissions. Statues are a reminder of people (and events) which may lead to thought.

“... persons who lived in Democrat controlled states do not deserve to have their rights protected because of their residence there.”

The unfortunate side to our federal government is that unless there is an insurrection, defined as a violent uprising against an authority or government, and not what the locals call a crime, which is another topic, then the federal government cannot step in to stop it....10th amendment. “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people”

The Constitution, through the Fourth Amendment, protects people from unreasonable searches and seizures by the government. But it is not, however, a guarantee against all searches and seizures, only those that are deemed unreasonable under the law.

https://www.uscourts.gov/about-federal-courts/educational-resources/about-educational-outreach/activity-resources/what-does-0

It was never created to protect a citizen from anything concerning rights other than that. About the closest you will get to the freedoms the federal government is bound by are the five freedoms in the first amendment:

Freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, the right to assembly and the right to petition the government. And all of these are under a jurisdiction and determination of laws of each state that further define these right. On some cases. almost completely cancels them like freedom of speech which has been hammered since it’s ink hit the paper.

As for the residence, at this point I don’t think anyuone has a way to get their lives back as the laws, the courts, and the state governments are harming everyone...liberal, conservative, religious, color.....The list is a synopsis of the population of each state, every state.

We have seen the enemy, and they are us.

This is a radical interpretation of federalism that I don’t accept. It’s ridiculous to say that citizens are guaranteed rights and then on the other hand, we can’t enforce these guarantees because of some political theory.. That is ridiculous.
I won’t convince you and you won’t convince me, so we can carry on from here. Have a good evening.
