The corporatist cartel and its 'social justice' hypocrisy Exclusive: Curtis Ellis to GM's CEO: If you want to help blacks, bring their jobs back to America

General Motors CEO Mary Barra tells us her company will be focused on social injustice as well as the bottom line following the murder of George Floyd.

"I am both impatient and disgusted by the fact that as a nation, we seem to be placated by the passive discussion of 'why.' Why does this happen? Why can't we get to a different place?" she wrote in a letter to employees.

Barra went on, "Let's stop asking 'why' and start asking 'what.' What are we going to do? In this moment, we each must decide what we can do – individually and collectively – to drive change … meaningful, deliberate change."

Well, Mary, here's something you can do to drive "meaningful, deliberate change": Stop sending Mexico and China jobs that black American once held. As Donald J. Trump said on a visit to Michigan in 2016, "It used to be cars were made in Flint and you couldn't drink the water in Mexico. Now, cars are made in Mexico and you can't drink the water in Flint."

Flint, Michigan, used to be Buick City. No more. Now, the Buick Envision SUV that GM sells in the U.S. is 100% made in China. Kamala Harris and Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez point to Flint as an example of environmental racism. I suppose they should point to Mary as the racist.

I absolutely HATE the corporate drones and their jumping on racial strife and riots for the purpose of brand-building in marketing.

These people are the lowest of the low.

The writer is correct. But this isn’t about helping blacks so far, it’s about buying them off with symbolism.

The dirty little secret among the Big Three is that the quality of their cars declined considerably as the number of minorities on their assembly lines grew. The Ford plant in Mahwah, NJ is a perfect example of this. It’s been the subject of lots of whining about “outsourcing” ever since it was closed in the early 1980s. There’s even a line in a 1980s-era Bruce Springsteen song about it. But the truth is that Ford closed it after a series of warnings to the UAW about the largely black and Hispanic workers there turning out Thunderbirds that consistently made the plant the worst in the company in terms of workmanship and quality control.

I like to think of all the knuckling as ‘systemic corporate dumbassery’. As if folks can’t see through this stench. Mollify cocktails perhaps.

Yup...the small businesses in the little town we are in who have BLM or other political signs will no longer get our business. Politics has no place in a (retail) business

” I suppose they should point to Mary as the racist.”

Mary knows she’s there for one thing, ..... to make a profit selling a quality product.

BTW, - Blacks don’t own those jobs, in years past ..? with A-Action? maybe. Those days are long gone.

The world has seen the Blacks behave in a Lawless manor over the past Month. Blacks won’t be hired for a long, long, time. There isn’t a plant manager that will be willing to put his plant in the hands of wild and reckless, irresponsible people, as the BLM has so demonstrated they truly are. If anything,.... the Blacks will find out that they have now set themselves back at least 75 years.

No, if GM wants to sell a car.............they will need to hire people that are an asset to GM not a liability. The World Market demands quality. Adios to the BLM crowd!

We lowered their taxes over the past 40 years and look what happened. Time to raise their taxes and make them pay for what they are doing.

It isn’t so much “minorities”, but automakers making tax credit deals with local authorities to hire and “train” their unemployed.

Single moms and people that couldn’t get a job somewhere else were now assembling america’s cars, not “car people”.

When BMW built their plant in SC in the 1990’s, their workforce came from the unemployment line. At the time, SC’s unemployment was 3% and only the dregs of society were seeking unemployment. As a result, US made BMW quality was TERRIBLE - Z3’s and X5’s.

I watched a one hour video the other day showing operations aboard the new aircraft carrier Ford.
Outside of the officers all i saw just about everywhere were SLOW, uninterested, angry looking minorities.
Most looked like they would rather be home listening to rap while swigging a 40oz or twerking on the street corner.
I was wondering how the Navy could possibly run a ship like that efficiently with so many slackers aboard..

Hoovies Garage on youtube just had a video on the dangers of buying a used X5.
He said the once expensive SUV is now going for under 5 grand in most places.
He got his for $1000, looked GREAT, took it to the mechanic and got a $11,000 estimate for repairs.
Then he drove it straight to the dump...

An import tariff would go a long way in solving almost every social economic problem we have right now.
