Amazon workers at a Chicago warehouse were left outraged that chicken and waffles were being served as part of the facility's Juneteenth celebration.
The workers at the Amazon warehouse known as DCH1 were told Thursday that the facility was 'honoring the Black community by supporting local Black businesses' by serving chicken and waffles on Friday - Juneteenth - a document obtained by CNBC revealed.

I used to work in the toolroom in a factory that was mostly filled with black women.
One of them broke her glasses and was being sent home because she couldn’t see without them.
I took her glasses in the toolroom and silver-soldered them back good as new.
She thanked me 100X.
It turned out she had a side business on the weekend cooking and selling BBQ pork ribs and all the fixings.
Every Monday at lunch time she would show up with a steaming plate piled high with ribs, always free of charge.

They should have saved it for Jazz Appreciation Week.
The Chicken and Waffles thing was started down in New Orleans. The Jazz players would get done playing, pack up and then head for something to eat at 4 am.
“No - it’s dinner time. No - it’s breakfast time....” So they combined the two. It is yummy. The sauce makes all the difference.
“Some people never forget kindness.”

Great story. More true than the media.
“Aunt Jemima Syrup is 3X more popular among African Americans than the next closest brand.”
You definitely want classic Aunt Jemina syrup with those those waffles.
However now that they are changing the branding I doubt it will taste as good anymore. :-)
LOLOL!
Still tasty though!
Peach
Are they saying Black cuisine isn’t legit?
Seems racist to me.
It’s 100% true.
