Jimmy Kimmel is taking a lengthy summer break from the late-night hosting gig he has had for nearly 18 years.
Kimmel announced Thursday that he will be stepping away from “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” starting July 6 and his departure will last all the way through September when he hosts The Emmys, according to a report from Variety.
The show will be taken over by a variety of guest hosts while Kimmel steps back to spend time with his family.

It appears the qualifications for the current crop of late night hosts is that you hate Trump, are a flaming lib radical, and know nothing about comedy.
He is left NPC, unfunnyness.
That was such a wonderful meme. Highly effective, too, which was why Twitter shut it down so fast. It drove the Lefties nuts and red-pilled the masses.
Some annoying woke dude who drove his viewers away.
Won’t miss him. Never watched him after seeing random video clips. Still miss Craig Ferguson.
I never saw his show anyway.

Jimmy Fallon has been ripping Trump like crazy lately. We finally had to turn him off. Fallon is very talented although his hate for Trump is eating him alive. Unwatchable.
I’m sure his viewers need a break from him as well.
He probably has to study up on what it is okay to say now on a TV show. He’s got Trump hatred down, but he’ll probably have to learn a new schtick that does not involve jokes of any kind.
Glad he’s gone, but still needs his head kicked in.

Fallon is a messed-up dude. I've met him twice. When you speak with him -- in my opinion -- there's something dark going on in his head. His personality is very different than what you see on his show.
He’s starting a new show. It will be a Minstrel Show in black face with Coonman Northam.

Maybe they're working on a minstrel show podcast.
No doubt. These guys are such meat-heads that it’s just worthless to watch.
