Jimmy Kimmel is taking a lengthy summer break from the late-night hosting gig he has had for nearly 18 years.
Kimmel announced Thursday that he will be stepping away from “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” starting July 6 and his departure will last all the way through September when he hosts The Emmys, according to a report from Variety.
The show will be taken over by a variety of guest hosts while Kimmel steps back to spend time with his family.

Half their “comedy” for the last 15 years has been Republican-bashing that overall is simply not funny. They get urban coastal audiences that bark and clap like trained seals, but much of the country is left wondering “Where’s the funny?” Then they wonder why ratings are bad.

Which leaves the question. Why now? This is his best time for TDS actors to be on air to push their idiocy.
He rips conservatives even though he wouldn’t be shit without them. If it wasn’t for Adam Carrolla and Ben Stein, Kimmell would be a lousy sports DJ on a last place radio program.
It’s a shame he’s such a left wing loon. He worked long enough with Ben Stein to have learned the ways of the left. Obviously, he didn’t have enough brain cells to grasp any of Ben’s knowledge.

I don’t like Jimmy Fallon- something about his frog-face dead-eye ‘look’- I knew a kid in high-school looked like that and I wanted to kick his ass for no reason (I didn’t)
But I have to admit he has talent - I don’t know if he talks stupid politics at all- I don’t watch his show
