Beijing, China, shuttered in-person classes for all schools on Tuesday, bracing for a new wave of the coronavirus. The closure goes into effect Wednesday.
The capital hub of 20 million people had gone more than 50 consecutive days without a new recorded case of COVID-19, the disease caused by the new virus. But last weekend, city officials reported a cluster of 87 new cases, the Financial Times reported, 46 of which were asymptomatic. That cluster emerged in Xinfadi, the largest produce and seafood market in the city.
Xinfadi was closed over the weekend, as were several residential buildings on the west side of Beijing. More than 100 people have gone into a 14-day quarantine.

They never finished with the first one.................
The commies are after Trump.
It’s in the high 90 in Beijing . I thought that kind of temperature would kill the virus.
This crap is right on schedule! Covid-19 is a joke!
We’re going to have the usual suspects who frequent this site, helping the Fake News push another round of this bill sh*t!
It is 96-98 here in Houston, and they say there are more cases. I don’t believe it at all!
If it couldn’t survive 90 degrees it couldn’t infect humans. Usually you’re looking for something over 130 to kill a bug.
Precisely right! Look how successful the Chinese were/are scaring American men right out of their soiled panties over these germs.
I seem to remember for the longest time that China reported no cases outside of the Wuhan area. Were they lying then or are they lying now?
“I suspect this may be an attempt to hurt the American economy by restarting the fake pandemic panic.”
I think that you’re exactly right. The ChiComs don’t give two s—ts about public health. They never have. Chances are that this is a ploy to try to hamper our reopening/recovery.
[[I suspect this may be an attempt to hurt the American economy by restarting the fake pandemic panic. ]]
The chinese are now claiming to have discovered a ‘new cornovirus’ that has ‘infected 79 people in a large food market’ blaming it on ‘European Salmon’
Chinese filth perpetuates virus after virus after virus after virus after virus after virus-EVER AFTER!!
Remember, the Chinese believe in TWO things:
Luck
Money
Filth is cheap; cleanliness COSTS. So, they WILL continue to produce virus after virus after virus after virus because they WILL NOT pay the money for cleanliness.
This country won't let THAT stop them from buying cheaper Chinese goods.
Cannot wait to cut to the chase and vote already.
Most virus thrive in warm weather. You don’t see Covid outbreaks in places like Copenhagen.
And we have FReepers who are going to lap this mess up, and help the Fake News spread it.
Sad this site has become a repository for pushing the scam of COVID-19. Sickening!
They are always lying. Lying then. Lying now. Kind of like democrats.
Bingo. Time to start the second (undoubtedly more deadly) wave. They’re REAL mad about that trade deal/sanctions. Their gravy train was pulled out from under them and they want old Joe to bring it all back.
I’m wondering if this is either faked or overblown. They are seeing the West begin to open up, and maybe they don’t want that to happen. Maybe they want to scare us into another extended lockdown to further destroy our economy and further hurt Trump.
Good theory.
We just got some good retail sales numbers recently, and the stock market is on the uptick again.
So if their government have been hiding their numbers all this time anwway, and for political reasons they are worried about an economic comeback in the U.S., why not exploit the fact that some states are showing some degree of a covid rebound and induce another overreaction by putting out scare propaganda about a massive rebound?
