A Gallup poll published Monday found that only 20 percent of adults between the ages of 18 and 29 are "extremely proud to be an American." This is the lowest percentage of any demographic, falling 23 percent since 2017.
According to the poll, this is the sixth consecutive year of decline in American pride across all demographics, and the first time "extreme pride" among whites fell below 50 percent. American pride among nonwhites is 24 percent.
The partisan gap in American pride also fell to 43 percent from 54 percent a year ago. This year, 67 percent of Republicans—a 9 point drop from last year—and 24 percent of Democrats said they are extremely proud to be an American.

This is the result of parents who don’t care what their kids are taught in school. It’s been going on for some time.
Years ago I read about college students not proud to be American. I asked my young relatives about being in Europe (year abroad programs) as American college students. They reported how surprised they were that foreign students were proud of their countries. Not one American kid around them was. They were proud of their states or cities but not their country

The Dems were always the opposition, but never loyal.
This first started with the changes to education in the ‘60s (new math, anyone?) and was accelerated by creation of the Department of Education (another of Carter’s failed legacies). Common Core was the latest failure.

Is it possible to undue 20 years of brainwashing? I doubt it.
I seriously doubt any of these idiots have read Zinn.
Why would someone want to express pride in a country built on racism, slavery, and exploitation? After all, if that is what they are taught, I am surprised any of them are patriotic.
