Supervisor of Elections: No Postage Needed for Pasco (FL) Mail-In Voting

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. — You won’t have to pay for a stamp if you vote by mail in Pasco County this year.

Pasco County’s Supervisor of Elections announced that voters will not have to pay for return postage if they have a mail-in ballot.

It’s another way elections officials are trying prepare for the election with the pandemic continuing.

Corley says the pandemic has made an already big election year even more hectic.

“We limped through the presidential preference primary in March,” Corley said in an interview. “We lost poll workers. We lost polling places. We don’t know what the landscape is going to be later this year.”

That’s why he is stepping up efforts to promote voting by mail.

For the upcoming primary in August and general election in November, voters won’t pay return postage. They can simply drop their ballot in the mail with no stamp needed.

“This is different. This is during a pandemic. We’re encouraging voters to consider it because for their own health and safety, as well as lines on Election Day,” Corley said.

Pasco County is also trying to get more people to sign up for the mail option.

They’ll be sending new information to voters shortly about how to request a ballot and showing the safety and security of the process.

“If you vote by mail, you won’t wait in line. And your vote will be counted. I guarantee it,” Corley said.

Pasco County residents can request their ballots in person, over the phone, by mail, or online on the Supervisor of Elections’ website.

If there is no post mark then the ballots are invalid.

I live in Pasco county, and I am STILL going to vote in person. No matter what Brian Corley offers.

Somehow the name “absentee ballot” has been replaced with “mail-in.” A distinction without a difference or is it an end-run around the statutory language governing the absentee rules? I suspect the latter. Maybe not in Pasco but definitely with what the Rats propose.

Absentee ballots include a SASE. Like you said, a distinction without a difference, but why even call it out? For the mush brained idiots wanting to cry “disenfranchisement?”

You have to request the ballot. They will send it with a prepaid
return envelope. Or that is how I read the info.

NO VOTING BY MAIL

IIRC, to get an absentee ballot, you had to provide a reason for it. When I was in college, I used to request absentee ballots from my home county and had to put the reason being that I wasn't in my home county.

The ability to just request a ballot through the mail is ripe for fraud. Hell, my signature changes often, and I've been jammed up when going to my local polling location because my signature doesn't look like the signature on my voter ID. How could they possibly validate the mail-in ballot?

If Trump loses this election, it will be because of fraud. The Democrats have been perfecting election fraud for several cycles now. I suspect they're ready to pull the trigger in any effort to take this man down.

There have been drop boxes at various locations in Oregon, prior to the last election. No postage or postmark required. The last election was the first one to be postage-free.

Like a letter could not be posted from somewhere besides the resident’s zip code. I do not favor the massive expansion of mail in voting that some are demanding. But as far as those ballots that are currently allowed I agree that no postage should be necessary.

No mail in voting, cant make it then too bad !

Those lost votes will have less impact than the fraudulent Dem votes that will be enormous.
More votes than voters guaranteed

The only mail in ballots should be genuine absentee ones.

Florida...
Received a postcard asking if I wanted to receive a mail in ballot and asking if I wanted to switch parties.

With thick magic marker, I replied;

HELL NO!
...across signature line
...and..
DEMOCRATS WILL NOT STEAL MY VOTE!
I’LL VOTE IN PERSON
..across the top

...then mailed it back.
