Authorities in Georgia ruled Sunday that the fatal police shooting of Rayshard Brooks outside an Atlanta Wendy’s was a homicide.
Brooks, 27, died after he was shot twice in the back on Friday, the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office said in a statement. Brooks was shot after a confrontation with two Atlanta police officers in the parking lot.
Police had been summoned there on a report of a man sleeping in his car in the drive-through.

I saw the video, the guy resisted arrest, fought with the officers, took one of their weapons and even fired it at the cops who then shot him.

It is always a homicide when someone is shot and killed by another person. That doesn’t mean it wasn’t a justifiable homicide.

Of course it was... My God, legally HOMICIDE means you died by the actions of another person, period.
He clearly died due to being shot by another person, that’s a homicide.
That doesn’t mean its CRIMINAL HOMICIDE...
All Homicide means is, the death was the result of the actions of another human being. If you shoot and kill someone in self defense, its a homicide, if you shoot and kill someone intentionally that’s a homicide, if you shoot someone and kill them accidentally that’s a homicide, if you don’t put your air conditioner in the window properly and it falls on someone and kills them, that’s a homicide, if you wreck your car into someone accidentally, that’s a homicide, if you run someone over on purpose that’s homicide...
All homicide means legally, is that the death was caused by the action of another person. This can’t be ruled anything other than a homicide folks.
Now, whether it was criminal homicide or not, that’s a different discussion, but it was clearly a homicide.
