People traveling on I-95 right now 8pm EDT be aware that police have genuflected to BLM by allowing protesters to block both northbound and southbound lanes between exit 15 (Route 7) and exit 17 (Westport).
Hopefully, the police, who clearly support this action, will allow emergency vehicles through, but who knows.

I95 in CT near Stamford is usually a parking lot anyway. Most drivers will simply take the Merritt Parkway....which is also usually a parking lot...

We emigrated first from Hartford, then Darien, New Canaan and finally from West Redding. Joined the Navy saw the big-wide world and settled in Atlanta Georgia. A great state where we all get along eating grits. The good people in Connecticut were well intended when the elected bums like Lowell Wieker who ruined everything, Taxes and debt. Chris Shays was their last reasonable US Congressman. Now a fraudulent US Senator Blumenthal (faked Viet Nam service) & http://delauro.house.gov/. Never-ending I-95 road repairs; who are the mob contractors? Memories now, thankfully. :>}

We are from South Carolina. We took a road trip up north east back in September 2018, that took us up through Connecticut into New Hampshire. We could not get over how bad things looked in Connecticut along the interstate. We needed to get off an exit to use the restrooms, and get gas, and could not get over how bad things looked at the exit areas. There was graffiti, overgrown grass, guardrails busted up. Went into the bathrooms at the rest stops and couldn’t get over how nasty they were. Nothing at all like what we have down here in the South. It truly is a different world up in the Northeast, nothing at all like you would see down in the south, a long interstates 95 and 85.
