The Democratic Party’s veepstakes may have narrowed down to two top contenders.
Out of all the potential running mates thought to be on Joe Biden’s shortlist, only two — California Sen. Kamala Harris and Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren — spoke at the Texas Democratic Party’s state convention, which ended Saturday.
“These things don’t happen by accident,” Democratic strategist Brad Bannon told The Post. “I think those two are getting an audition in Texas.”

Harris is NOT a natural born citizen but I don’t suppose that is any consideration any more after the Citizen of the British Empire Barak Obama was elected president.
Jpe’s running mate will be whoever the DNC or perhaps Obama or the Clintons assign him.

After Obama, anyone on earth is eligible. There will be a congressional Resolution that the wannabe candidate is a Natural Born citizen as there was when Non natural born McCaine and non natural born Obama were running against each other. That portion of the Constitution is excised. The Natural Born clause has been permanently Redacted.

Obama was NOT ELIGIBLE. his father was British. He got away with it because the Republicans and a few judges wouldn’t stop a black candidate. Can you imagine the founders wanting a person who could be a British citizen being commander in chief of our army?

She only falsely certified Obama to Hawaii interestingly enough, she knew she was lying. They were apparently the only state that refused to put him on the ballot without her certification.

I have no “trouble” with it. But. McC was not born in the United States of America. Natural Born traditionally was birth on direct American soil of two citizen parents. I will NOT allow fudges just because the would-be candidate is one of “our guys.” That weakens the argument from the Constitution and the understanding of the Founders and of scholars right up until Obama. After Obama anyone on earth is eligible to be the President of the USA if he is over 35 and I am sure if the Democrats came up with a 33 year old Tibetan for their candidate the Congress would pass a unanimous resolution declaring him/her/it to be a Natural Born Citizen.

IIRC each secretary of state requires the party to submit their nomination. I recall the secretary of state of Cal saying, she accepted the one from both the DNC and the RNC. It was about that time I became aware of the stories of Obama’s ineligibility.

I agree with you. I was stating my opinion that those people “should” bet eligible. I am aware of what it takes to change the constitution.
Since the constitution doesn’t define NBC, the congress could play with the definition every 4 yers.
She sent them all a nomination form but it deleted the verbiage about natural born citizen that the one to Hawaii contained.
