I have no “trouble” with it. But. McC was not born in the United States of America. Natural Born traditionally was birth on direct American soil of two citizen parents. I will NOT allow fudges just because the would-be candidate is one of “our guys.” That weakens the argument from the Constitution and the understanding of the Founders and of scholars right up until Obama. After Obama anyone on earth is eligible to be the President of the USA if he is over 35 and I am sure if the Democrats came up with a 33 year old Tibetan for their candidate the Congress would pass a unanimous resolution declaring him/her/it to be a Natural Born Citizen.
I agree with you. I was stating my opinion that those people “should” bet eligible. I am aware of what it takes to change the constitution.
Since the constitution doesn’t define NBC, the congress could play with the definition every 4 yers.
