"If they convict the rookies, they can forget about police recruitment for a generation."

They're already talking about replacing the police department there:

Minneapolis council president confirms it: Police will be 'dismantled' and replaced with a 'transformative new model of public safety'

More fundamental change à la Obama.

My bet is that the officers will be acquitted because they were over charged and the jury will not find that the death was intentional. Another round of riots will ensue.

Chauvin should be convicted. The others will be sacrificed in the name of race relations.

Kueng’s attorney described the rookie officer as a “young African-American.

So suspect that on the cops was black looking at their photos...but the media didnt tell you this...

So one black, one Asian cop and two white cops...

A great boss of mine always told me..”Son, if you can wait for all the facts to come in before rendering judgement on any issue,,,wait for all the facts!!! Chauvin is guilty as sin, in my humble opinion, but I have mixed feelings about the other police officers on site. However, I do believe the whole truth about this tragic murder will come forth as these four men stand trial.

Can you imagine being the defense lawyer on this one? Who can tell what the mob will do.

What I read was that they were working their first full time days. They may have had previous part time experience; the lawyers’ use of the words “full time” is a qualifier so that he can diminish responsibility.

Given that this thing was on film and went on for eight minutes and then was immediately broadcast by the major news media solid around the United States for two days or three days there is no doubt in my mind that this is a complete set up

now , George Floyd is dead ( I think )

but I do believe that it was probably caused by the fentayl, which shuts down your central nervous system and your ability to breathe

My dear daughter had a very wealthy boyfriend in LA who died of fentanyl - he just stopped breathing

I don’t think the cop had any intentions to kill the guy None.

and I don’t think the guy died from the knee on the neck - I think the first autopsy was correct

the bottom line is is this whole thing is orchestrated and was a complete set up from the get-go!!! I have no doubt on this matter

Why am I so sure? Because it’s kind of like lighting a fire

they really tried hard with the Arbery case to get the fire started

they tried and tried and tried

but the match really wouldn’t like the tinderbox

and this is because it was just white yahoos who took out that black kid

this was cops killing black man - white cops in particular

Not only that, but if their ‘transformative new model of public safety’ doesn’t meet Federal standards, then they won’t be getting any Federal policing funds. Most police and correctional departments have to meet a certain criteria to be accredited, and if they’r not accredited, they won’t qualify for Federal funding.

I'm thinking the same thing. And Keith Ellison, the Muslim Dem MN State AG, who is prosecuting the case and loves Antifa, will win either way. He would love to see more anti-white anger and riots resulting from a hung jury or acquittal, especially if it is before the November elections.

Everyone knows GF had a criminal history and everyone knows the facts of his death aren’t yet fully known.

So the criminal history makes it OK to kill him?

"What about Derek Chauvin working at the same night club with the victim, George Floyd?"

Chauvin will have to explain that, and perhaps anyone else who worked there will give a true statement on any interactions they may have witnessed take place at that time.

Neither second or third degree murder requires intent.

“I still say they will all walk in the end.”

If you haven’t heard the audio with Floyd still in the car, and it is allowed at trial, I am somewhat in agreement, except that judgie will likely have to impose some sort of sentence on Chauvin “to keep the peace”.

I agree. The rookie would have no say so in the matter, even if he thought they were doing wrong.

I believe 3rd degree and manslaughter are still charged so the jury has options. Of course the prosecution will be concentrating on the top charge not the lesser.
