Huge sell-off in Gold & Silver today, but that was to be expected at these prices.

Cashing out to get caught up on bills, to buy more ammo or to stuff some money under the mattress - just in case. ;)

I’ve been a Gold & Silver Bug for 15+ years now. I have NEVER seen these prices before. Predictions are we ain’t seen nothing yet in precious metals.

Mama Like! :)

How would the economy have saved George Floyd?

His unfortunate job loss because of the lockdown undoubtedly didn't help him.

Trump will win in a landslide if this trend continues.

The trend is poised to do even better.

There is NEVER, EVER any consequences for the “expert” class who gets things so terribly wrong.

Here is a little bit from April:

https://www.ccn.com/u-s-stock-market-crash-hasnt-even-begun-yet-warns-hedge-fund-chief/

https://www.ccn.com/70-of-investors-the-coronavirus-recession-will-be-worse-than-2008/

Not a single one of them will acknowledge, “hey we were wrong.” They just move on to the next doom and gloom story.

That’s par for the course for all of the media today. Not just the financial media. I just don’t know what we can do about it. People who fail at their soothsaying are never held to account.

The polls weren’t held to account in 2016.

The “experts” who predicted the COVID gloom were not held to account.

The “financial experts” are not held to account.

NO ONE is held to account for lying and being wrong. They just move on like nothing happened.

They are entitled to their predictions, but ...

The real problem is that the media only publishes the half of the predictions that they want us to hear.

Covid is keeping a lot of people home, and they are ordering stuff on line. Amazon is busy now, and probably figures this behavior will continue well into the future. Check on delivery services, they probably need help. One man I know is waiting for action on a contact tracing job for Covid victims.

One major disruption I see is that corporate offices will give way to home offices for many

The need for large glass offices in congested Dhimmo controlled cities disappears! And it is in the national interest as it removes the large targets of the 20th century cities from the Chinese equation. Win,win! KAG!

“Was there even a recession? Isn’t that two consecutive quarters of declining growth? We haven’t had two quarters since mid-March yet. . .”

Technically, no. But since the 1st quarter was a 4.8% contraction and the 2nd quarter ending June’ because it contains 2 lockdown months, will also be a contraction, we will then technically be in recession. The good news is these job growth numbers presage a 3rd quarter that will have the highest gdp growth numbers in history, just in time for the presidential election. No better timing than that

Not unexpected. The train was going downhill and picking up speed when the brakes were applied. Remove the brake and things will pick up.

Don’t know if this is an AP headline writer or one from our area liberal rag the Fort Wayne Journal Gazette, but, this is on their web site right now:

US unemployment drops unexpectedly to a still-high 13.3%

That’s because those numbers did not exist until today at 8 30 am.

https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Unexpectedly

unexpectedly

The favorite adverb of major news organizations when describing dreary economic news since 2009. It is believed to have originated around May 19, 2009, when Reuters reported “new U.S. housing starts and permits unexpectedly fell to record lows in April . . . denting hopes that stability in the housing market was imminent.” Has since been incorporated into the style book of the Associated Press, as well as other journalistic entities.

Anticipated to remain in the forefront of economic reporting until the end of 2016, when it will “unexpectedly” disappear from the landscape.
“The pace of expansion in the U.S. manufacturing sector unexpectedly slowed in March, according to an industry report released on Monday.”—Reuters, 4/1/13

“U.S. manufacturing unexpectedly contracted in November, falling to its lowest in over three years ...”—Reuters, 12/3/12

“Previously owned U.S. home sales unexpectedly dropped in March as a lean supply of properties kept the industry from generating a stronger recovery.”—Bloomberg, 4/22/13

” Employers added fewer jobs than forecast in November and the unemployment rate unexpectedly increased ...”—Washington Post, 12/3/10

Even with the extra 200,000 employees, it's still taking a week or more for me to receive my Amazon orders where before, I was getting pretty much everything I ordered within 48 hours as a PRIME member.

Even with the delays, I think millions of people who never online shopped before will continue doing it for now on because it is so convenient. Also, it is so easy to return something you don't want. They pay for the shipping and everything and give you no hassle about it.

Not just Amazon but other companies like Zappos, NewEgg, LL Bean, etc., are doing huge business through online shopping.

I don't see brick and mortar retail going completely away because people are always going to want to see and touch the product. But I see many stores downsizing and having minimal product on hand. For instance, when buying a TV, you look at what they have, choose the model you want, and the product is shipped to your house from a central warehouse. I see same day delivery for this in the urban areas. So by the time you get home from the storefront, your product might be waiting for you on your doorstep.

Canada “gained” 290,000 jobs but in reality 210,000 of those were in Quebec. Hilarious. For Americans that don’t know, SNC Lavalin is best buds with Trudeau and has been able to pillage jobs from local contractors all over Canada, as far as even BC. I personally know of people who have been sent to the unemployment line because their contractor lost its bid to Quebec’s SNC Lavalin.
