James Mattis, the esteemed Marine general who resigned as secretary of defense in December 2018 to protest Donald Trump’s Syria policy, has, ever since, kept studiously silent about Trump’s performance as president. But he has now broken his silence, writing an extraordinary broadside in which he denounces the president for dividing the nation, and accuses him of ordering the U.S. military to violate the constitutional rights of American citizens.
“I have watched this week’s unfolding events, angry and appalled,” Mattis writes. “The words ‘Equal Justice Under Law’ are carved in the pediment of the United States Supreme Court. This is precisely what protesters are rightly demanding. It is a wholesome and unifying demand—one that all of us should be able to get behind. We must not be distracted by a small number of lawbreakers. The protests are defined by tens of thousands of people of conscience who are insisting that we live up to our values—our values as people and our values as a nation.” He goes on, “We must reject and hold accountable those in office who would make a mockery of our Constitution.”

Honestly, wouldn’t you be orgasmic if our side had the same enthusiasm to take it to the enemy the way the MSM does? I mean, objectively speaking, they simply play the game better. They have a bottomless pit of performers and deep state stooges ready to unload with a new hit piece each and every day against our side. Every day is something new, without fail.
How often do we get a juicy interview like this taking down the left? Once every 2 months? We do it so infrequently, that it is simply drowned out the very next day by 3 new scandals and hit pieces against the POTUS.
Mattis was a weasel in the persecution of the Haditha Marines and he hasn't changed a bit.

It is stated elsewhere that he keeps a pristine home. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

I think it is more like the media/dem complex that has been working 24/7 for the last 4 years to divide America along a verity of faultlines. How on earth did such a moron become a USMC general? He’s a Bush and 0bama appointee, that should have been two big red flags for Trump that he was not to be trusted.

I think Kellyanne Conway is one. She was (maybe still is) a strong advocate for "Open Borders" to curry favor with the latino voting block. As a GOP strategist, she may have been one of the architects of that madness. Also, her husband is a raging liberal loon and atni-Trump activist which poses a conflict of interest and security risk.

I was fooled and supported Mattis. Sad, he lost my support. Really too bad. Americans need strong role models in the military to be bigger than Paul Bunyan and tougher than Chuck Norris.
It’s really incredible how Trump’s holding a Bible at a burned-out Church has triggered the left, causing many of them to come out of the closet. I have to wonder if it’s the knee-jerk Dracula-Crucifix reaction when the evil encounters the Holy —OR— is it a panic reaction to Trump setting himself up as the Law and Order President?

Unless and until you are prepared to drop the Monk’s robes and take on the mantle of actually being the President of this great nation, maybe it is time for you to just STFU. Oh, and when you do become President, how about we throw in a few little annoyances to make it interesting?
Like having your intelligence agencies, who you are supposed to rely on for accurate, well-timed information to guide decision making, conduct illegal surveillance and politically motivated investigations of your campaign before the election and continue those investigations of your staff even after you are duly elected by the American people. How about we throw in a news media whose journalistic credentials can be traced back directly to Joseph Goebbels?
How about, just for s**ts and giggles, we throw in a worldwide pandemic whose origins trace directly back to one of America’s primary adversaries in the world and whose existence was cloaked by denials until it was certain to affect the American population? How about we throw in riots throughout the country sparked by the illegal, immoral, disgusting actions of men who wore the clothing of police officers; but, who never should have been allowed to wear a badge. On top of that, why don’t we add a subversive, terroistic group whose stated intention is to bring down this country to initiate and coordinate riots, looting, vandalism, and murder under the cover of legitimate protests against the actions of these stupid men?
Tell us, oh great philosopher, how would you have handled all of this any better than the man who is sitting in that hot-seat right now? Your pontificating has removed any shred of respect or regard that I ever had for you. The self-aggrandizing and self-promoting tone of your article is not worthy of a man who has held the positions of trust that you have been given. Unless and until you are ready to actually walk the walk instead of just talking the talk, maybe it is time to take the 30 pieces of silver that you most certainly got for writing this hit-piece, take your worthless butt back to your cloister, and contemplate your freaking navel or something.
