George Floyd had ‘violent criminal history’: Minneapolis police union chief

The head of the Minneapolis police union says George Floyd’s “violent criminal history” needs to be remembered and that the protests over his death are the work of a “terrorist movement.”

“What is not being told is the violent criminal history of George Floyd. The media will not air this,” police union president Bob Kroll told his members in a letter posted Monday on Twitter.

Floyd had landed five years behind bars in 2009 for an assault and robbery two years earlier, and before that, had been convicted of charges ranging from theft with a firearm to drugs, the Daily Mail reported.

[[Sorry, George Floyd’s “violent criminal history” is not relevant.]]

Actually it is and explains why they subdued him using an approved tactic to subdue someone- especially someone as large as he was- He dwarfed the police that took him out of the car-

You can make other arguments but the one that his violent criminal past is irrelevant isn’t one of them- It explains why he was subdued- one of the explanations anyways- the other was that he was obviously high on drugs, which is why police had called the ambulance and were detaining him in a subdued manner, till the ambulance got there-

By the way- there is video of him I think on Sherryl Attkinson’s site (sp?) showing that he was saying he ‘couldn’t breath’ even while he was still in his own car- before he was taken out- The man was high on fentanyl- and meth- both of which can and often does- lead to death via not breathing- plus the fact that he had two serious heart problems, and clogged arteries, mixed with those drugs, was not good- and very probably could have been the cause of death-

These are facts that are emerging, despite Fox news’ and the msm’s best efforts to hide them- George Floyd very well could have been suffering heart failure even before the police tried putting him in the car- he struggled with them for 10 minutes trying to resist- which is also on video from what i understand- you wouldn’t know it though as msm and fox won’t air them in an effort to keep the ‘racist cop gleefully murders black man’ meme going=-

“How do you know the policeman killed him? Pull your head out of the sand.”

You are joking right?

> If only he had not passed the fake 20... <

It’s kind of a side point, but I wonder if Floyd even knew that the bill was fake. He didn’t appear to me to be the brightest guy in the world. And I’ll bet you a real dollar that he didn’t make that bill himself.

From what I’ve read, Floyd tried to pass the bill, and was turned away. He tried again, and was turned away again. At that time, did Floyd finally realize that the bill was worthless? Or did he just get confused and pissed off?

Leftists (big media, politicians, celebrities, rioters) are gonna railroad this guy for speaking the truth. He’ll be fired or forced to apologize and kneel before the rioters by nightfall.

That’s the last Trump rally he will be speaking at after that kamikaze statement.

The Jacksonville, FL sheriff was just on the radio. He called Floyd’s death a “murder” and said as a former patrolman he was “shocked” that none of the other officers on scene intervened to stop the minutes long assault on a handcuffed and unconscious prisoner.

Having watched the film it is hard to find any defense of the cop who had a knee on the neck. It should be noted, however, that Floyd was on meth at the time of his death. I was once a loss prevention agent in retail. Most stops we made were pretty calm. Meth addicts are a whole different thing. It would take 5 people to do what usually 2 could handle. They never...never stopped fighting, cuffed or not. Still, we never even cam close to killing anyone. Also, these stops were for shoplifting alone. Meth addicts would almost always attack us.

I am not in anyway excusing the cop. Just adding to the discourse.

Bob434...stop, you are making too much sense /s. Great post...

Not saying that the cop was not at fault, but like every investigation, ALL the facts, including past criminal history are relevant and need to be understood. The question I have, if this cop was truly (with intent) murdering Mr. Floyd, why would the cop do this in front of his colleagues and in front of folks with cell phones recording him doing so?

The difference - Floyd did crime and then did time. Chauvin has been getting away with crimes for years.

And all that is expected but, that still does not give an ample cover for an office sitting on someone’s neck for any longer than it takes to subdue them and in this instance it resulted in the man’s death, short cutting his rap career and aspirations to attend medical school

[[Need to call balls and strikes here. He was killed by a cop using excessive force.]]

need to look at all the evidence- not just a clip of a knee on the back of head- The medical report will tell how much fentanyl and meth and alcohol were in his system and whether it was enough to cause death- all these things will come out in trial- we can’t view a clip and claim the knee pressure was enough to cut off both arteries or compress his diaphragm (something Baden claimed- yet the officer’s knee was NOT on his mid back where it would have had to be in order ot stop the diaphragm from working-)

Both heart attacks and opioids cut off oxygen to the brain- you can’t rule that out until other evidence proves otherwise- We now have dueling autopsies- Baden has been very very wrong on high profile cases in the past- Very wrong- We can’t take his word for what happened as gospel- experts will be brought in to weigh in on ALL the medical evidence during trial- We should wait for that instead of viewing a clip and determining it ‘must be the cause of death’ or that he was ‘murdered’-

If only he had not passed the fake 20 and the shop owner had not called the police maybe all of the rioting/protesting and George would still be alive.

If only Manafort hadn’t worked for Trump he wouldn’t be sitting in solitary.

that’s not dirty... poor training and selection.

neither is illegal, but results of either can be.

i am not obtuse, your definition of dirty would apply to a lot of police officers.

though i just read more about what may have occurred and there is always more to a story.

My thought as well- and in the case of Arbery death, why did the two men, son and father, call police, and then, as the left claim, go ‘hunt down Arbery like an animal in order to murder him’?

Both are very important questions-

It is interesting to me that I have not seen anyone suggest a viable solution to this problem. So permit to propose mine.

We need an acceptable police procedure for arresting a perpetrator who is resisting arrest while high on drugs. Clearly, four officers were not able to get Floyd into the back seat of a patrol car. So they needed the equivalent of a paddy wagon that they could easily load him into. I understand that’s what happened in the Freddie Gray case, and the police were ultimately exonerated. It goes without saying that this procedure should be applied equally, regardless of race or size of the perp.

This officer Chauvin (sp?) came late to the arrest, and tried to exert his authority, and crossed over the line. He should pay a price.

Would like to see some discussion on this.

“That does not change that the policeman killed him.”

True - but in the spirit of honesty, and transparency, he was not the saint as some are making him out to be.
