Exactly. The proper way to punish criminal wrongs is arrest and prosecution, not what happened to Floyd.

Exactly- although we don’t know at this point how much fentanyl- he also apparently was high on meth and possibly alcohol too from what I’ve heard- plus he had serious heart problems- plus he struggled in back of cruiser (there’ video of it on youtube-) before he was out of cruiser and collapsed on ground- it’s very likely the struggle caused a heart attack- there’s even some question as to whether or not a heart attack was already happening before he was put in cruiser because the dude was complaining he couldn’t breath even before cuffs were on him

Biden's autopsy ruled the death a homicide. Hennepin County Medical Examiner ruled the death a homicide. No dueling autopsies. I doubt there will be a third, forth and fifth autopsy. They agree.

Assuming this claim is true the cop still appears to have been seriously negligent.But,again assuming it’s true,it could lower the criminal (and moral) culpability to some degree of “negligence” (”Negligent Homicide”,for example) rather than flat out “murder”.
Actually, a “violent criminal history” is relevant to how police handle suspects, as it should be. When they run plates or a license, the information they receive back informs them of the possible risks of harm to themselves or the public.
Ummm ... The justification for lethal force against Martin was from other factors.
One mans citizens arrest is another’s unlawful imprisonment.
The issue will be depraved indifference, which supports a murder charge. I doubt he’ll claim negligence, the warnings by bystanders and I believe one leo, coupled with his lack of movement and fluid discharge would argue against that.

no they don’t agree- first one said no asphyxiation- a very important key point- baden said asphyxiation- Intent plays a huge part in trials- as does ‘reckless endangerment’ and ‘willful disregard’ or ‘depraved indifference’ to life- or something like that- - IF the prosecution can show intent, then he’s going to do more time than if it’s reduced to something like negligent homicide because the prosecution can’t make a case for willful endangerment
There’s a lot that will be brought out in court- and the two conflicting autopsy results for ‘asphyxia’ will play a part- The prosecution has ot prove willful intent to kill if they want maximum sentence- The claim of No Asphyxia vs ‘Asphyxia’ will be brought out in court-

True or not... what the public perceived in the VIDEO that nearly everyone has watched is... whatever the George Floyd was guilty of or not... he was MURDERED by a POLICE OFFICER, with 10 previous complaints of brutality against him, who kept his knee on a handcuffed prisoner long after he was incapacitated and already in custody.
If it had happened to YOU I would bet dollars to donuts your family would already have a fleet of lawyers to "right the wrong."
The fact that the police union chooses to circle the wagons around the officer is WHY the public will be angered further.
The union taking this stance, which is usually where they land, ONLY creates further DIVISIVENESS and makes the public believe that the police ALWAYS think they're right.

IIRC juries are sometimes given an option to vote guilty on a charge less serious that the main one.Second degree murder vs first degree for example.
Unless there's something I don't know the cop is guilty of *some* kind of crime.I just don't exactly *which* crime at this time.Any criminal history (if any) the dead guy had and the final result of the drug screen are two things I'd very much like to know.
