Actually, a “violent criminal history” is relevant to how police handle suspects, as it should be. When they run plates or a license, the information they receive back informs them of the possible risks of harm to themselves or the public.

That's right.I recently got an LTC...my first one.In my state (very,*very* anti 2nd Amendment) you've got to jump through more hoops than you can imagine.Among other things my car,and my license plates,are surely flagged with an “LTC” flag so if a cop pulls me over for a broken tail light he's sure to approach me at least slightly differently (and maybe very differently) than he would without that flag.
